About this experience
Does your heart beats faster from challenging obstacles and great heights? Then you don’t want to miss hiking the Burdah Mountain (1300 m), rewarding you at the top with one of the highest natural bridges in the world. Imagine standing on the bridge, feeling like you're on top of the world! The trail has a rocky mountain surface with some technically difficult areas that require scrambling and sometimes even climbing up steep surfaces. Up in the mountain we enjoy a Bedouin tea, and back down your guide prepares a Traditional Lunch. You will be well supported by an experienced guide. Climbing experience is not necessary. Hiking up the Burdah mountain is our main focus, but we will also make a few other stops to show you more of the history and highlights Wadi Rum. We end the tour at Um Sabatah, the best place to watch the magical sunset. OVERNIGHT To get the full Wadi Rum experience you can add a night in our Bedouin camp, or sleep outside in the cave, under the stars.

Traditional Bedouin Lunch - After the hike your guide prepares a delicious traditional lunch, cooked outside on the fire. The lunch we make is different every day, but we like to cook you a warm meal with vegetables, bread, hummus, yoghurt, and other local treats. Umm Fruth Rock Bridge - Next to the Burdah Bridge, this 15-meter-high bridge is one of the most famous bridges in Wadi Rum. Of course, the is not as challenging and impressive as the Burdah Hike, but it is a famous sight and still a fun adventure and a great place for pictures. Give your phone or camera to your guide who will stay on the ground and take an impressive photo of you on top of the bridge. The locals run up and down the bridge with ease, but for tourists it is a bit more challenging. That is why small holes have been made which makes the climb a bit easier.

Abu Khashaba Canyon - Stretch your legs and enjoy a nice walk in this deep narrow valley, surrounded by tall mountain walls. There’s a lot of green, which makes a beautiful contrast with the red desert sand. You will see many different types of trees and plants, and hear countless birds chirping. The locals have hung bottles to collect the rainwater so that the birds can drink from it. It is a real oasis of peace. The walk takes 30 to 45 minutes, and your guide will pick you up on the other side.

Little Bridge - Through years of various severe weather influences, this natural Little Bridge has been formed on a rock formation in the Khor El Ajram area. It is called Little Bridge because it’s only a few meters high and easy to climb, but the views are stunning and on pictures it looks pretty big and impressive. When you come down again, a cup of sweet tea awaits you in the Bedouin tent where you can buy souvenirs or relax and hang out with locals.

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Wadi Rum Mountain Hike & Climb: Burdah, with a bridge at the top! + tour & Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Aqaba.
How much does Wadi Rum Mountain Hike & Climb: Burdah, with a bridge at the top! + tour & Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $27 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Aqaba usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Wadi Rum Mountain Hike & Climb: Burdah, with a bridge at the top! + tour & Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 8.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Aqaba is not rushed.
Is Wadi Rum Mountain Hike & Climb: Burdah, with a bridge at the top! + tour & Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Aqaba, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Wadi Rum Mountain Hike & Climb: Burdah, with a bridge at the top! + tour & Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Wadi Rum Mountain Hike & Climb: Burdah, with a bridge at the top! + tour & Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Wadi Rum Mountain Hike & Climb: Burdah, with a bridge at the top! + tour & Lunch?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Aqaba can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Aqaba and add a light layer if any part of the 8.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Wadi Rum Mountain Hike & Climb: Burdah, with a bridge at the top! + tour & Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Aqaba within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Aqaba?
+
On Outty we rank every Aqaba experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Diving Experience in The Heart of Red Sea in Aqaba, Wadi Rum Full Day Jeep Tour + Overnight & Dinner in Bedouin Camp, Diving, Snorkeling & Leisure Cruises by Boat. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Aqaba?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Aqaba?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
