Luxor, Valley of the Kings, sleeper train

Great tour, I had a guide for the tombs and temples (Yusef) and a guide in the car who helped with between the train in the morning and later in the night (Omar). Yusef had extensive knowledge which was very welcome and created more depth to the tour, I especially found interest in the history of Hatshepsut. The sights where beautiful and lunch was good and held in a great place almost like an oasis. Later on after the tour we still had plenty of time before the train came so Omar and Yusef organised a Feluca and carriage ride in Luxor during sunset, it was a good relaxing and welcomed surprise to end the tour. Thanks team and all the best. P.s. those of you travelling on the sleeper train id advise bringing something warm to sleep in along with earbuds, also you should eat before boarding as dinner and breakfast mostly consists of bread and spread.

Response from the operator: Many thanks for your delightful words. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your trip to Egypt with Sun Pyramids and look forward to welcoming you back to Egypt. We are also proud that our Staff, met your expectations and contributed to an extraordinary experience

    PERFECTLY TAILORED TRIP

Martina Magdy is the contact person and honestly she treats you like a VIP and a personal high-level private travel agent. I have NEVER been so cared for like Martina did. Came from the US. She set up and booked my two-day White Desert tour and tailored it to exactly what I wanted - including a last-minute addition of sand boarding, a beautiful hotel rather than camping, and an amazing tour. Pick ups/drop-offs were flawless and tailored to my needs (airport, other hotels). Then I discovered she could arrange Luxor as well and again, planned a perfect 3 days in Luxor with an extremely professional and knowledgeable guide (Mohammed! and Mohammed the coordinator in Luxor as well who adjusted something last minute for us) also to my exact desires. Please know that I have been planning this trip for 6 months and I am neurotically anal and very specific with what I want. I contacted and called many tours and Martina with Sun Pyramids was most responsive, most economical, and most professional (I do not want to say on this review but I had 3 other companies in communication with me and they were nothing like Sun Pyramids). Martina got every single detail right! Perfect. Further, throughout my stay in Egypt, Martina personally checked on me and my family constantly. I honestly and truly cannot thank Martina and Sun Pyramid tours enough. I literally don't understand how they could have done what they did for my family. It was truly unbelievable how perfect my 5 days with them was (2 in White Desert and 3 in Luxor). I wish there was a way for me to literally tip or pay Martina extra because I was so grateful to her. I've never experienced this type of care and detail. PERFECT - I can never thank her and this agency enough. You can 100% trust this agency. No concerns. Feel free to ping me if any questions.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your delightful words. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your trip to Egypt with Sun Pyramids Tours and look forward to welcoming you back to Egypt or globally. We are also proud that our staff met your expectations and contributed to an extraordinary experience

An Amazing Experience with Samah and Sun Pyramid Tours!

My partner and I had the pleasure of exploring the Edfu and Kom Ombo temples with Samah, our guide from Sun Pyramid Tours, and it was an unforgettable experience. Samah arrived promptly and immediately made us feel welcome with her warm and friendly demeanor. Her knowledge of the temples was incredible, and she made sure to share fascinating details about the history and significance of each site. What stood out the most was how she went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had a great experience. She patiently answered all of our questions, gave us personal time to explore, and even captured some amazing pictures for us to remember the day. It felt completely unrushed, and we truly felt like we were her top priority throughout the trip. Samah’s passion for the history and culture of Egypt really shone through, and it felt like we were being shown around by not only a knowledgeable Egyptologist but also a good friend sharing her favourite places in her home country. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide, and we highly recommend Sun Pyramid Tours for anyone looking to explore Egypt in a meaningful and personal way. Thank you again, Samah, for such a memorable experience!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Luxor.

How much does Visit Edfu, Kom Ombo Temples From Luxor cost?

    +

How long does Visit Edfu, Kom Ombo Temples From Luxor take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Luxor is not rushed.

Is Visit Edfu, Kom Ombo Temples From Luxor worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Luxor, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Visit Edfu, Kom Ombo Temples From Luxor?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Visit Edfu, Kom Ombo Temples From Luxor suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Visit Edfu, Kom Ombo Temples From Luxor?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Luxor can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Luxor and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Visit Edfu, Kom Ombo Temples From Luxor start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Luxor within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Luxor?

    +

On Outty we rank every Luxor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Half Day Luxor Tour Valley of Kings & Queens, Hatshepsut, Full Day Tour to East and West Banks of Luxor (Private), Private Half day Tour to West bank. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Luxor?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Luxor?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
