Fantastic highly recommend
Mike our tour guide was informative and fun. Such a fantastic tour and I would highly recommend it. We managed to do the Zip wire but it meant not leaving time for Eagle point and Guano point. We were told that doing the Zip wire wouldn’t leave much time but we went against the good advice of Mike. However what an experience. We did manage the sky walk and that was incredible. My only flaw would be it would have been nice to have had 4 hours at the canyon to get everything done.
Response from the operator: Hi TracieA, Thank you for leaving Gray Line such a nice 5-star review. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your day with us and our driver/guide Mike. Since 1910 the Gray Line family of nearly 200 worldwide sightseeing companies have been seeking out the best guides in every destination we serve, so it's nice to know our guide did such a great job and had great suggestions. Did not meet expectation
The Driver Chris was amazing and timely. I was picked up at exactly 6:30am. The coach was somewhat comfortable but old. Chris gave us some history of the ride to the Hoover Dam. One the way, for the five people who opted for breakfast, we stopped at a gas station where there was a Subway and a choice of 4 breakfast sandwiches. They were to go and eaten back on the coach as Chris wanted to get us to the first destination, the Hoover Dam. The Coach was parked in a large parking lot at the Hoover Dam. We were allowed 30 minutes to walk up to the Tillman Bridge. Cross the bridge which is quite long and return to the van to proceed to the West Ridge of the Grand Canyon. Once there we were allowed 4 hours to go to Eagle Point and Guano. (There was a third destination called “The Ranch” but were advised not to go there as the buses to that point were very sporadic.). There was a bus that took us to both destinations and was very timely. Lunch at either point was very cafeteria style. Guano was outside only and had two selections on their menu. The cafeteria at the Eagle location had an amazing view but window seating (to see the view) was very limited and you were not allowed to wait for a window seat. Let me say, before I summarize, that the driver, Chris, was very customer friendly with some fun stories. The coach felt crowded and old, I felt like I was provided a ride to two locations but there was no Tour Guide. Chris was the driver, the rest of the tour was an on your own experience. For $300.00 dollars, which is what I paid, I thought it was a lot of money for very little. I received a ride to and from and a fast food breakfast and lunch. I wish I could be more positive but the tour was below average for the price.
Response from the operator: Dear Janet_G, Thank you very much for being a Gray Line customer and we are all very sorry that we missed your sightseeing expectations. It does seem like you enjoyed the Grand Canyon West Rim's spectacular views and the services of our professional driver/guide Chris quite a bit, and we appreciate your comments to that effect. From Las Vegas the Grand Canyon has 2 main visiting areas; the South Rim which is part of the Grand Canyon National Park, and the West Rim which in on the Hualapai Nations land reservation. The high price point for the West Rim, which is much closer to Las Vegas, is simply due to the cost of entering this nature destination. In closing, I want to again say how sorry we are for missing your expectations, and I want to wish you all the best in your future travel experiences. Sincerely, Michael S. / GL Vegas Customer Service

Las Vegas for my Birthday!
Second tour with Prince this week for my wife and I. The sites were of course phenomenal; however, Prince made both tours absolutely outstanding by providing related facts and information in a professional well spoken manner. This guy is a PRO! Ask for Prince when scheduling tours in and around Las Vegas.

Always rushing
There was a lot to experience but very little time. Booked the experience with breakfast and lunch. Breakfast was grab and go which really was okay except the fact there were no cup holders therefore very awkward. For the Hoover dam bridge overlook only enough time to walk to the middle and take a picture and walk back. The Grand Canyon had lots to experience but because our tour guide expected us back to the bus an hour earlier than anticipated it was so rushed it made the trip stressful. At the time of booking the helicopter experience was also recommended, but the time constraints gave us only an hour to make it to the other Grand Canyon stops nor enough time for lunch. Also the ticket that was to be scanned in order to enter the skywalk didn’t work so that was a hassle. In all fairness the trip would be a 5 star if return time would have been an hour later.
Response from the operator: Dear Elizabeth, Thank you for being a Gray Line customer and we are sorry that you felt rushed and for missing your sightseeing expectations. The photo stop at Hoover Dam is meant to be just that, a short photo stop, yet we are sorry that you felt rushed. Our tours spend more time at the West Rim than our competitors, however on some days due to crowds at the West Rim even the additional time we spend at this magnificent location can feel rushed due to crowds and waits. We are sorry that this affected your visit. However, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed the spectacular views that mother nature only provides at the Grand Canyon. In closing, I want to thank you for leaving us feedback, and I want to wish you all the best in your future travels. Sincerely, Michael S. / GL Vegas Customer Service

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
VIP Luxury Grand Canyon West and Hoover Dam with Skywalk: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Las Vegas.
How much does VIP Luxury Grand Canyon West and Hoover Dam with Skywalk cost?
+
Prices start at $290 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Las Vegas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does VIP Luxury Grand Canyon West and Hoover Dam with Skywalk take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Las Vegas is not rushed.
Is VIP Luxury Grand Canyon West and Hoover Dam with Skywalk worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 253 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Las Vegas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule VIP Luxury Grand Canyon West and Hoover Dam with Skywalk?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is VIP Luxury Grand Canyon West and Hoover Dam with Skywalk suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book VIP Luxury Grand Canyon West and Hoover Dam with Skywalk?
+
Around 89 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Las Vegas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Las Vegas and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does VIP Luxury Grand Canyon West and Hoover Dam with Skywalk start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Las Vegas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Las Vegas?
+
Las Vegas sells two trips at once: the Strip after dark, and the red-rock desert that starts twenty minutes past the last casino. Helicopter runs to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam half-days and Red Rock Canyon drives all leave early, while show tickets, speakeasy crawls and high-roller dining fill the evening. Outty Ranking weighs operator reliability heavily here, because the gap between a well-run desert tour and a coach-and-queue version is enormous. On Outty we rank every Las Vegas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group: Valley of Fire Half Day Tour from Las Vegas, Small Group Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, 7 Magic Mountains VIP Tour, Grand Canyon West, Hoover Dam Stop, Breakfast, Lunch & Skywalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Las Vegas?
+
October to April. Summer highs above 105F make midday outdoor tours punishing. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Las Vegas?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
