NOT VIP desert safari
Irfan was a great host. He was also the driver. The drive to and from the safari tour was great and very smooth. He was a good tour guide. He was also good at driving during the dune bashing. However, I booked VIP Dessert safari and there was nothing VIP about it. Firstly when you arrive at the dessert for the quad bike ride, you arrive asked to pick out a scarf for "sun protection". You dont need it. Its a scam! They charge everyone different prices for their items. They tried to charge me 162AED for a scarf!! (£32/€38/$44/61CAD) for a scarf that costs £4/€4.5/$5.4/7.5CAD. ABSOLUTE RIP OFF AND A SCAM. the scarves and jewellery do not add or take away from your experience. In my opinion its not worth it just dont get it. They charged me differently compared to someone else that was a Canadian tourist but spoke Arabic- he still got ripped off just £10 less than what i paid. The quad bikes were supposed to be for 30mins we were only on for 23mins. I timed it. Its not a tour you ride the quad bike in an enclosed encounter. Basically in a square/circle but you can go in whatever direction you want. It would have been better if we followed a trail with a guide. The dune bashing was great fun. It was between 5-10mins nothing more. The camel ride was a good experience. Less than 5mins. We got on the camel- it walked around a small circle and that was it. If you wanted to go on the camel for longer then you had to pay more. However, the camels look exhausted. 😅🥲 Sandboarding was included in the package however, we didnt get to do it. We then went for the show. You can pay an upgrade of 50AED to be sat on a table and chair and if not you're sat on a bean bag with a low table. (suitable for children). The show was good as we got to see the different dances. However we had to wait about 20-30mins for the show to start and we couldnt eat until 2 dancers had performed (total of 3 performers) (around 8:30pm we ate). The food was mediocre. Wouldn't pay for it. It looked like prison food- no offence. There was more veg and vegan options available than meat: lentil soup, chick pea curry, salad, rice, pasta and a sauce. Once you collected your vegetarian options from the "buffet" you almost miss the man on the side handing out the chicken 😂. He gives you ONE chicken leg (suitable for a child) and 3 cubes of chicken shish. That's the standard serving. If you ask for more- you get ONE piece of chicken shish. You can pay an upgrade of 50AED to be sat at a table with chairs where you can portion out your own meats and I was told the food was better, however it was exactly the same food we were served. You're constantly harassed by people at the show trying to sell you pictures you took during the safari or on the camel ride- again extortionate. You're then bombarded with other people trying to sell you souvenirs or jewellery. Ratings: Pick up and drop off- 5/5* Quad bike experience-4/5* Dune bashing- 5/5* Camel ride- 3/5* Sandboarding- N/A (we didnt get to do this even though it was included) Show- 5/5* Food- 2/5* Overall experience- 3/5* Wouldn't do it again. But glad I got to experience it so I never do it again. Its worth the experience but not a must do.

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
VIP Desert Safari Camel 30 Minutes Quad Bike BBQ Dinner Live Show: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubai.
How much does VIP Desert Safari Camel 30 Minutes Quad Bike BBQ Dinner Live Show cost?
+
Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does VIP Desert Safari Camel 30 Minutes Quad Bike BBQ Dinner Live Show take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubai is not rushed.
Is VIP Desert Safari Camel 30 Minutes Quad Bike BBQ Dinner Live Show worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 34 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dubai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule VIP Desert Safari Camel 30 Minutes Quad Bike BBQ Dinner Live Show?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is VIP Desert Safari Camel 30 Minutes Quad Bike BBQ Dinner Live Show suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book VIP Desert Safari Camel 30 Minutes Quad Bike BBQ Dinner Live Show?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubai and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does VIP Desert Safari Camel 30 Minutes Quad Bike BBQ Dinner Live Show start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dubai?
+
On Outty we rank every Dubai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubai Premium Red Dunes Safari, Camels & 5* BBQ at Al Khayma Camp, Dubai: Red Dunes Safari, Quad, Camel, Dune Bash, BBQ & Shows, Dubai Old and Modern City Tour with Blue Mosque Visit. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dubai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dubai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
