Wonderful visit to Giza pyramids, Saqqara and Memphis

We had a wonderful day visiting the Giza Pyramids, Saqqara and Memphis. A special thank you goes to our driver and to our guide Ashraf, who made this experience even more enjoyable and unforgettable. Ashraf shared his deep knowledge of Ancient Egypt with us, always answering every question with patience and expertise. He guided us through the fascinating world of Ancient Egypt, explaining history, culture, and interesting facts in an engaging and clear way. At the same time, he was always attentive to our needs, regularly checking if we needed more time for photos, visits, or simply to enjoy the moment. His professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made this tour an excellent experience. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants to discover the wonders of Ancient Egypt with a knowledgeable and caring guide.

Cairo - Comprehensive & Well Paced Tour

Part of our 30 days Cairo, Nile Cruise, Sharm El Sheik & Alexandria Ultimate Luxury Tour. Tour organiser: Ramasside - 5 stars with hiccups Guide: Paula - fantastic - good English - very informative, discuss our preferences and tailored our tour accordingly - very professional Driver - Ahmed - fantastic We are a retired couple in our 70’s. In total we had 10 nights in Cairo. We requested to stay at Marriott Mena House adjacent the Pyramids. The hotel is wonderful. Superb location with great dining options. Whilst on tour - we accepted the standard room as initially booked by Ramasside. For our final 3 nights we had Ramasside upgrade us to Pyramid View rooms. For the trip of a lifetime this is a no-brainer option - the Pyramids have a wonderful presence. A special bonus was the Mena House direct access to the Pyramids. A short golf cart ride to the old entrance and you are at Khufu Pyramid, free to walk the site or access the internal bus system - hassle-free - highly recommended. We had a single night in Cairo as we transitioned from Luxor to Sharm El Sheikh. We stayed at Marriott Le Meridien at the Airport - convenient location and a very comfortable hotel. Tour-wise Paula led us over many days to many sites in Cairo. The Grand Egyptian museum is awesome and overwhelming in the display of Egyptian history. Later in the tour we returned for a second unescorted visit to just absorb its immensity. We visited the Pyramids & the Sphinx and experienced the spirituality of history. Old Cairo, Coptic Cairo, National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (wonderful & respectful Exhibition of Mummies.) were all highlights. Saqqara where the 1st pyramids were built & Memphis, the old capital were well worth the 20km trip out of Cairo. We enjoyed a dinner organised by Ramasside overlooking the Pyramids - but as we were already staying at Mena House we felt this was redundant. Egyptians tend to eat late and so the restaurant was empty and the ambiance was lacking. The visit to the Monastery of St Simon with its Cave Cathedral & Cave Church are very interesting religious & architectural places. Paula managed the multiday program very efficiently and it was a pleasure to undertake the journey with him & Ahmed. Thankyou.

VIP All inclusive Best of Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Sakkara, Memphis: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.

How much does VIP All inclusive Best of Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Sakkara, Memphis cost?

+

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does VIP All inclusive Best of Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Sakkara, Memphis take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.

Is VIP All inclusive Best of Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Sakkara, Memphis worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 173 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule VIP All inclusive Best of Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Sakkara, Memphis?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is VIP All inclusive Best of Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Sakkara, Memphis suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book VIP All inclusive Best of Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Sakkara, Memphis?

+

Around 61 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does VIP All inclusive Best of Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Sakkara, Memphis start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cairo?

+

On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cairo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cairo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
