Amazing photo tour of Rome and photography instructor
My wife and I had an amazing time visiting and taking photos of various places around Rome. I learned several very useful photography methods for isolating subjects and creating artful images. It was also a great personal pleasure working side by side with Julio. He is a great professional photographer and a very nice person.
Response from the operator: Hello Boris, Thank you so much for your kind words, about both the tour and me as a person to spend time with. I really appreciate it. It was a genuine pleasure meeting you and Irina, sharing my knowledge of Rome, and advising on what and how to photograph it. I’m delighted the tour helped you step out of your comfort zone and push your boundaries to master your camera and create the images you want, in the style you choose. As I mentioned during our walk, if you plan other multi‑day photo trips, please note that I offer wonderful itineraries in Puglia, Umbria, Tuscany, Venice, Slovenia and Tanzania, all highly photogenic destinations. If you should wish to know more about those do not hesitate to contact me at +393403552538. Thanks again for the lovely five‑star review. It means a great deal to me. Warm regards, Giulio

Thank you Giulio
Thank you Giulio for accepting my very last minute booking. I was provided with prompt and clear instructions in regards when and where to meet. On the day, Giulio was personable and knowledgeable about photography and the area. Giulio was able to assist with me composition and settings for the conditions we were shooting in. Great tour, would recommend
Response from the operator: Hello Carol, First of all, let me say it was a pleasure meeting you the other day. Secondly, I am truly glad you enjoyed the tour, my company, and even more that you could take amazing photos of Rome during the day, and in so doing fine-tuning your photography skills, and learning about settings and composition. I hope I'll see you again in Italy, sometime in the future, maybe for one of the photo tours and workshops I run in another regions of Italy, such as Umbria, Tuscany, Apulia, Venice, and the Dolomites, and even to Slovenia To know more about those just look for my RomePhotoFunTours and ItalyPhotoFunTours websites, where you can also find my contacts. This experience was...
This experience was perfect….My personal goals for this outing were to photograph some hidden treasures of Rome, but also to elevate and inspire my creative talent with my new photography hobby. I have been doing primarily landscape photography for a few years, but now that I am traveling more I wanted to explore travel and street photography. The guide, Giulio, is an accomplished photographer of many years. He not only knew where some unique spots were but was also very helpful in talking about the composition/setting to help interpret the shot in different ways. At the end of the tour we stopped in a cafe and he reviewed some of my favorite pictures from the past several years and offered good critique on what editing I could do to improve them even more. All in all, the experience has elevated me a bit to the next level of photography, allowed me to see and capture some more quiets spots in Rome and helped introduce me to new genres….well worth it. Plus it was fun! When I return to Italy I will definitely book another outing with Giulio.
Response from the operator: Hello Gerard, First of all, I am truly sorry to answer only now to your review. Secondly, thanks a lot for the very nice words you spent about the photo tour we had. I am really glad you enjoyed the photo walk we had, and I am even more satisfied for the fact I was able to improve your level of photography, making you discover Rome while taking good shots of it. I surely look forward to seeing you again in Rome. Please consider that if you should also wish to have personalized photo tours in the vicinity of Rome, or in Tuscany, Umbria, Venice, Puglia, the Dolomites, or even Slovenia, I also offer these itineraries. Once you'll contact me directly, those will be tailored on your time and dates availability. I will only need the proper advance notice time in order to book everything. Thanks again and best regards, Giulio

Thanks, Giulio!
If you need any help with your pics in Rome, or anywhere for that matter, Giulio is your man. I really needed some professional help a while back and within the first hour or so Giulio pointed out a few flaws in my pic taking techniques. This tour worked out especially well for Rome because he knows the streets and some really good notable spots to go clicking away. Thanks again for the help and all the better future picks I will be taking going forward
Response from the operator: Hello Paul, First of all, let me say it was a pleasure to walk, talk, and take photos with you the other day. Secondly, thanks a lot for the very enthusiastic and kind words you spent about me and the quality of my photography tour. I am surely very happy that the technical information about settings, light, and composition I shared with you has improved your knowledge about image taking, and will better also the photos you'll take in the future. If you should share on your social media the photos shot during the tour, could you please tag my name Giulio D'Ercole and my company Rome Photo Fun Tours? And last, but not least, please contact me again if you should ever come back to Italy. As I told you, I provide fully personlized photo tours in various Regions of Italy, based on my customers' wishes and time availability. Thanks a lot again, and all the best, Giulio

Such a great tour!
I was in Rome last October. I had only four days to do and see everything. I booked several tours and the photography tour and workshop with Giulio from Romephotoduntours was by far the best of all. He taught me plenty of photography things as we were pleasantly walking from one beautiful place to another, in a very well planned tour. I was also very pleased by Giulio's friendly and professional personality. I would not hesitate one bit to recommend his tour to anybody.
Response from the operator: Hello Toni, I am so sorry I have not replied to this email before. I don't know how but your review skipped my attention and for some reason I could not see it. I do apologize for this. In any case, and even with such a delay, I want to thank you for your very beautiful words and for having sent me a five stars review. I truly appreciate it, as much as I appreciate the fact you enjoyed the tour to the fullest. Thanks a lot again and best regards, Giulio

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Villa Borghese and Posh Areas Unique Photo Tour and Workshop: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does Villa Borghese and Posh Areas Unique Photo Tour and Workshop cost?
+
Prices start at $160 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Villa Borghese and Posh Areas Unique Photo Tour and Workshop take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is Villa Borghese and Posh Areas Unique Photo Tour and Workshop worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Villa Borghese and Posh Areas Unique Photo Tour and Workshop?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Villa Borghese and Posh Areas Unique Photo Tour and Workshop suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 16. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Villa Borghese and Posh Areas Unique Photo Tour and Workshop?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Villa Borghese and Posh Areas Unique Photo Tour and Workshop start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
