Was a great tour. ...
Was a great tour. Learned a lot of history and enjoyed seeing outside of the city. Sigtuna was very cute as well and we were able to walk around for over an hour and enjoy lunch. I went with my teenage daughter and we both loved it. Our guide was Gabriel. He was great.

Sigtuna is worth it
Awesome tour to learn about Swedish Viking history. Saw multiple ruins which were incredible to see and learn about. The town of Sigtuna was amazing and one of the highlights of our time in Sweden. Thor was a spectacular tour guide and well versed in history! Highly recommend the half day tour to include Sigtuna over the 3 hour tour.

I think at $380 USD for...
I think at $380 USD for two people that the experience didn’t deliver for the price. It was a 6 person van so maybe it was thought to be a more personal experience. However, there was no speech amplification in the van so the guide didn’t talk much during the driving portion of 40 to 50 minutes — because too hard to hear in the back seat. Would have been nice to get running comments about countryside. A few stops with runes and stories. Then stop at Sigtuna for 45-minute lunch on our own before a walking tour in the small town. The history was interesting but not enough for the price. Very friendly driver and guide; both seemed to know the history and were very willing to answer questions.
Response from the operator: Hi, thanks a lot for good and detailed feedback. I understand that you where disappointed and I really appreciate you telling us what you missed and what we can do better like this. We usually have a voice aplifier micked up for the tour so all can hear, it may have been a hired in tour viecle whom the guide realized to late that it did not support that. I will look info that. In the meantime please email info@swedenhistorytours.se and we will se what we can so.

Vikings A- Z
A good overview and linear history of the Vikings. Although it is a considerable length of history, Gabriel our guide, was able to share this period with insight and humour.
via Viator
A great experience with Gabriel.
Our tour guide Gabriel was informative and passionate about Viking history. The time just flew by as he drove us to the different sites on the itinerary. It was interesting to hear a different perspective on Viking history than are held in my own country. We also were told a little about present day Sweden. There was so much information it was difficult to process and remember it all but that's a good virtue from any tour. Next time I'm in Stockholm though I will book the full day tour as there is so much more to learn. Highly recommend this tour.

Viking History Small Group Tour from Stockholm: Half Day Including Sigtuna: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Stockholm.
How much does Viking History Small Group Tour from Stockholm: Half Day Including Sigtuna cost?
+
Prices start at $180 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Stockholm usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Viking History Small Group Tour from Stockholm: Half Day Including Sigtuna take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Stockholm is not rushed.
Is Viking History Small Group Tour from Stockholm: Half Day Including Sigtuna worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 126 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Stockholm, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Viking History Small Group Tour from Stockholm: Half Day Including Sigtuna?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Viking History Small Group Tour from Stockholm: Half Day Including Sigtuna suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Viking History Small Group Tour from Stockholm: Half Day Including Sigtuna?
+
Around 44 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Stockholm can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Stockholm and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Viking History Small Group Tour from Stockholm: Half Day Including Sigtuna start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Stockholm within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Stockholm?
+
On Outty we rank every Stockholm experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Stockholm: Walking Tour of the Old Town, Best of Stockholm: Small Group Walking Tour (Max 10, 3 Hours), Vasa Museum Guided Tour, Including Ticket & Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Stockholm?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Stockholm?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
