Fantastic Experience
This was one of the highlights of our trips. Alice really made the day special and her enthusiasm never faulted. The whole experience was so well put together - from the cooking course in the morning, where we picking our own ingredients (whilst learning their properties) and then prepared and cooked our own 4 course meal .... and of course ate it (delicious!) ! To our afternoon at the Cu Chi Tunnels. Excellent day - thanks, Alice. Would definitely recommend this day to anybody!

Amazing cooking class and tunnel tour
Thank you HCM Cooking Class for a fantastic day. Aura you were amazing and we had so much fun with you today. From our early pick up from our hotel you were the perfect guide, very knowledgeable about food, ingredients and how we can use all the beautiful produce you grow at the farm. Thank you for teaching us about the different uses of the produce how to make some delicious Vietnamese dishes and then onto the tunnels where you guided us through an important part of Vietnam’s history. Amazing tour! Amazing guide! Book this tour - you will not be disappointed.

Great day trip, and value for money.
The most memorable parts of the trip were meeting some of the local people, having Alice as a guide/chef, and seeing some different countryside. Also learning how to pick the right ingredients to go with the four courses that we cooked under the eagle eye of Alice and then eating it-very tasty meal. Then onto the tunnels which was very informative and it was very useful to hear about the war from the Vietnamese side, and their struggles. Seeing actual tunnels and how the people were forced to live and the adaptions they came up with was incredible. Alice made the day with her bubbly personality and love of the the job.

Worth every penny
Absolutely incredible experience and so glad I booked the tunnels and cooking class as a joint tour as it saved me a 3 hour round trip from Ho Chi Minh. The guide, Alice, was excellent; she was upbeat, bubbly and knowledgeable all the way through and pretty much made the day as good as it was. This was such a memorable day and worth every single penny-in fact, I would have been happy to pay more. Transport was included-Car picked us up from our hotel in central ho chi minh at 7am and dropped us back at 5pm. The day started with our group visiting the organic farm and picking all the different herbs, mushrooms and vegetables whilst Alice spoke about their health benefits and medicinal uses. We then took the fresh produce back into the nearby kitchen and prepared a delicious 4 course meal-prawn spring rolls, fired poor noodle salad, chicken, oyster mushroom and cashew milk curry and banana spring rolls with coconut ice cream for dessert. After we ate the food we’d prepared, we drove for 15 minutes to the cu chi tunnels where Alice gave us a full tour of the complex and allowed us to go inside the tunnels.

Fun, informative day with Alice
Without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam. Alice kept us informed and entertained throughout the day and without her bubbly enthusiasm it just would not have been as good an experience. We would highly recommend this cooking class which, not only, taught us how to cook a few dishes, but gave us confidence (when out and about) in trying new dishes and information on how to eat ’Vietnamese’

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ho Chi Minh City.
How much does Vietnamese Cooking Class and Cu Chi Tunnels Tour from Ho Chi Minh City cost?

How long does Vietnamese Cooking Class and Cu Chi Tunnels Tour from Ho Chi Minh City take?
+

Is Vietnamese Cooking Class and Cu Chi Tunnels Tour from Ho Chi Minh City worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 77 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ho Chi Minh City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Vietnamese Cooking Class and Cu Chi Tunnels Tour from Ho Chi Minh City?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Vietnamese Cooking Class and Cu Chi Tunnels Tour from Ho Chi Minh City suitable for kids and families?

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Vietnamese Cooking Class and Cu Chi Tunnels Tour from Ho Chi Minh City?
+
Around 27 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ho Chi Minh City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and add a light layer if any part of the 9.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Vietnamese Cooking Class and Cu Chi Tunnels Tour from Ho Chi Minh City start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ho Chi Minh City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ho Chi Minh City?
+
On Outty we rank every Ho Chi Minh City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Adventure Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Tour From HCM, Cu Chi Tunnels Small-Group Tour: Vietnam War Underground Network, Cu Chi underground tour - Learn Vietnam war with others. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ho Chi Minh City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ho Chi Minh City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
