Same Same Same
All guided tours in Vienna take you more or less to the same places and tell you more all less the same stories with the same boring style. We think we had enough this time!
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your perspective on the tour content. Our guides aim to provide meaningful historical context to help visitors better understand the significance of the sites we visit. The full route is outlined in the tour description, which may also help identify any overlaps with other tours. At the same time, Vienna’s historic city center features a limited number of major landmarks, so some similarities between tours are inevitable. However, several of our guides offer specialized tours with unique themes and perspectives. Should you visit Vienna again, we invite you to explore these options at https://www.findaguide.at/en/. We also understand that preferences vary, and some guests favor a more modern, interactive, or story-driven approach. Your feedback is highly valuable and will help us continue refining the balance and style of our tours. We’re pleased you were able to join the tour along the way and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with an even more engaging experience in the future. Kind regards, H. Stojaspal

Okay but a bit boring
We could not find the meeting point so easily, so we were delayed and had to catch up later on the way. The guide gave recommendations but in general he was talking about battles and other info that we would forget in a day, it was unnecessary. We prefer a more modern approach when visiting places.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback and for joining the tour. We’re sorry to hear that you had difficulty finding the meeting point and that this affected your experience. We understand how frustrating it can be to start a tour feeling rushed, and we will review how we communicate directions to make them clearer and easier to follow. Regarding the content of the tour, we appreciate your honest perspective. Our guides aim to provide historical context to help visitors better understand the significance of the places we visit. However, we also recognize that preferences vary, and some guests prefer a more modern, interactive, or story-driven approach. Your feedback is valuable and will help us continue improving the balance and style of our tours. We’re glad you were still able to join along the way, and we hope to have the opportunity to offer you a more engaging experience in the future. Kind regards, Herbert Stojaspal

Fair but too much detail
This tour took us to several hidden gems but it was a bit too much for my taste. Can feel overloaded for a first time visitor. Think twice before you book.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your honest feedback. We’re glad you discovered some hidden gems during the tour—that’s something we’re really passionate about sharing. We also understand that the experience can feel a bit intense, especially for first-time visitors. Our goal is to offer a rich and immersive introduction, but we appreciate that everyone has a different pace and preference. Your comment is very helpful, and we’ll take it into account as we continue refining the experience. If you ever return, we’d be happy to recommend a more relaxed option that might suit you better. This is THIS best secret Vienna tour.
My friend and I joined Herbert on this very informative and fun tour this afternoon. The tour started on time, and he was easy to find in a very busy location. He will point out buildings and streets and other landmarks that you would never have noticed without his knowledge. He definitely took us in back alleys and streets that we wouldn't have found ourselves. Herbert is the guy to give you ins and outs of Vienna. He knew so much and was also able to give us recommendations along the way for out-of-the-way dining experiences, coffee shops, and other lesser-known sites to visit. We learned so much, and Herbert has a great way of interacting with his guests. This was our second tour in two days with Herbert, and I wish we were staying longer to take his other ones. Adult groups and older teens will love this.
Response from the operator: Dear Guests, Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback! It truly means a lot to hear that you enjoyed discovering Vienna’s secrets with me. Sharing the hidden stories and special corners of this city is my passion, and knowing that it came across makes me very happy. I’d love to welcome you back anytime for more secret Vienna moments! Kind regards Herbert

Vienna Secrets Walking Tour to Backyards and Hidden Locations: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vienna.
How much does Vienna Secrets Walking Tour to Backyards and Hidden Locations cost?
+
Prices start at $36 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vienna usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Vienna Secrets Walking Tour to Backyards and Hidden Locations take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vienna is not rushed.
Is Vienna Secrets Walking Tour to Backyards and Hidden Locations worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 46 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vienna, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Vienna Secrets Walking Tour to Backyards and Hidden Locations?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Vienna Secrets Walking Tour to Backyards and Hidden Locations suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Vienna Secrets Walking Tour to Backyards and Hidden Locations?
+
Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vienna can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vienna and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Vienna Secrets Walking Tour to Backyards and Hidden Locations start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vienna within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Vienna?
+
On Outty we rank every Vienna experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Authentic Vienna Food Tour inc. lunch, street food, 3 drinks, Vienna Food Tour: Coffeehouses, Markets, Lunch & Street Food, Budapest Small-Group Day Trip from Vienna. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Vienna?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Vienna?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
