Worth it to see Victoria Falls from both sides
Although we stayed at a hotel within walking distance of the falls on the Zambian side, we chose the tour to help smooth out some of the logistics of crossing the border into Zimbabwe, so that we could see the falls from that side as well. We had a tour guide and driver on the Zambian side (Stacey and David), and a separate tour guide on the Zimbabwean side (Panache), all of whom we enjoyed meeting and spending time with, and learning more about life in their respective countries. The length of the visit is dependent on how long it takes to walk through the portions of the parks on each side of the border, and the guides were flexible as to when and for how long we wanted to stop. They came prepared with rain coats for us to use as well.....definitely a necessity at some of the viewpoints along the falls, as are water-tight shoes (and if you do not have the latter, there are souvenir vendors outside the entrance to the park on the Zambian side who can rent you sandals for a modest fee...definitely worth it to save your shoes!). Once we finished the tour, David even offered to drive us into Livingstone to buy something we were looking for, before bringing us back to our hotel. All in all, we had a very good experience, and were glad we saw the falls from both countries, as each side has different aspects and viewpoints that are worth experiencing (also, the Zimbabwean side seemed to have more wildlife in the park, including warthogs, vervet monkeys, impalas, etc.).

Excellent Victoria Falls Adventure
HMS Adventures was a great tour company. I found them through Viator and Howard reached out to me early to confirm my tour. He was responsive to my requests and i ended up using HMS for my ride to and from the airport. I took two tours with them, the Zambia and Zimbabwe falls tour which i booked through Viator and the village tour. I ended up doing the Zambia falls tour on my own since i was staying at Avani and could easily enter the Zambia fall on my own and for free. This allowed me to focus more time on the Zimbabwe side which has many more beautiful observation points. Kennedy is the guide HMS connected me to and he was great. He was patient as i took a lot of pictures and he is extremely knowledgable with the history of the area. It was a pleasure spending a few hours with Kennedy and i would highly recommend that you ask for him. Next, Joe and John took me on a village tour that was excellent. It wasn’t your normal village tour that all of the tourists go on. We went to a far out village and i got to see how they live, where they work, and what they use for food. It was so nice to meet the families, watch the amazing men carve, and the women sanding and preparing the souvenirs for sale to people and shops. William was an excellent driver and picked me up from the airport and showed me around Livingstone on our way to my hotel. William was the first person to show me elephants as we left the village of Livingstone and entered the park. HMS took great care of me and i would highly recommend that you use their services whether it is tours or airport transport.
