    Overhyped, not worth it

Mostly disappointing. The way the tables are set out is really poorly planned. We were sitting all the way in the corner at the back where we couldn't see out appreciate any of the drum show or dancing at all. The waiter didn't bother explaining anything to us and we felt quite ignored. It wasn't until later when we flagged another waiter and explained that no one had come by, explained the process, or asked to take a drink order that we finally got attention. We also requested if we could have a different table that didn't make us feel excluded. Our table was only swapped until after we ate dinner when another pair had left early. Because of how the tables are designed when it came to the actual dance and drum show the people in the back will come forward and stand in the way in front of the main viewing part so most of the seated members can't actually see anything. The food was only OK. All in all, I think this is really overhyped and not worth the price.

Response from the operator: Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and for joining us for dinner. We sincerely apologize that your experience did not live up to expectations – this is certainly not the warm, inclusive Boma experience we strive to deliver. We are very sorry to hear about the seating arrangement, the lack of attention from your assigned waiter, and that you were unable to properly enjoy the drumming and dance show. Feeling ignored and excluded is the opposite of how any guest should feel and we understand your disappointment. Your comments regarding table layout and viewing obstructions during the show have been noted. While the tables are set to accommodate all guests for the interactive performances, we acknowledge that guests seated at the back can feel disconnected when others move forward. Your point is valid and we have shared this with the Restaurant Manager to review how they manage viewing areas and guest movement during the show. We also apologize that your waiter did not explain the evening's flow or take your drinks order. This is a clear gap in the service standards. It will be addressed this with the service team to ensure all guests are properly welcomed, briefed on the experience, and attended to from the moment they are seated. We appreciate you highlighting that the table was eventually moved, though we regret this only happened after dinner. Thank you again for your honest feedback. It helps improve where we fall short. Second time at the BOMA...

Second time at the BOMA after 10 years , still just as good as before. Food was great , loads of choices and they cater for vegetarians too. Have the Mopane Worm certificate to prove I ate one !

Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful review, and welcome back after 10 years! We're delighted the food and the variety, including the vegetarian options, lived up to your memories. Congratulations on earning your Mopane Worm certificate! We hope to welcome you again, hopefully not another 10 years from now. 😊

An Absolute Must Do in Victoria Falls

A tremendous night out, with amazing food and a fantastic African drum and dance show, which involved all the audience. Excellent service from staff too. Well worth it!

False advertising without any traditional dancers but good food

The dinner food part was excellent but the show was disappointing since it did not include any traditional dancers as they are used on all the photo advertising for this combined experience. Instead, it only had drum performance and ended 30 minutes earlier at 9:20pm instead of the advertised 10pm. Hence this false advertisement should be corrected.

Victoria Falls Boma Dinner and Drum Show (Zimbabwean Side): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Victoria Falls.

How much does Victoria Falls Boma Dinner and Drum Show (Zimbabwean Side) cost?

    +

Prices start at $92 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Victoria Falls usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Victoria Falls Boma Dinner and Drum Show (Zimbabwean Side) take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Victoria Falls is not rushed.

Is Victoria Falls Boma Dinner and Drum Show (Zimbabwean Side) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 35 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Victoria Falls, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Victoria Falls Boma Dinner and Drum Show (Zimbabwean Side)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Victoria Falls Boma Dinner and Drum Show (Zimbabwean Side) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Victoria Falls Boma Dinner and Drum Show (Zimbabwean Side)?

    +

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Victoria Falls can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Victoria Falls and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Victoria Falls Boma Dinner and Drum Show (Zimbabwean Side) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Victoria Falls within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Victoria Falls?

    +

On Outty we rank every Victoria Falls experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Tour of the Falls (Zimbabwe side), Zambezi River Class IV-V White-Water Rafting from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe & Zambia: Guided Tour of the Falls from Both Sides. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Victoria Falls?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Victoria Falls?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
