Tour Conducted in Chinese Language! Not enough time to see sites
The tour was in Mandarin Chinese! I don't speak Chinese. No where in the website did I see that the tour was being conducted in Chinese. I booked the tour on an English language website. Luckily the tour guide was very nice and did his best to make my friend and I and the other English speaking couple understand what we were to see and where to meet back up to the bus. Obviously I would have preferred an English speaking tour. We only had 90 minutes to see the BC Parliament Building, Harbour and Empress Hotel and eat lunch. Really needed at least 2 hours. 2 1/2 hours would have been been better . Butchart Gardens We only had 90 minutes to see and again 2 hours should be the minimum. We had to really hustle to see all of it in the time allowed.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that the language of the tour did not meet your expectations. We are pleased to hear that the guide was kind and made an effort to assist you and the other English-speaking guests during the tour. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the time allocated at the BC Parliament Building, Inner Harbour, Empress Hotel, and Butchart Gardens. We understand that 90 minutes can feel quite rushed, especially when trying to enjoy both sightseeing and lunch. Your comments are valuable, and we will share them with our product team as we continue to review and improve our itineraries. Thank you again for your understanding and for helping us improve. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

CHINESE ONLY NO ENGLISH
This guided tour was advertised as an English speaking tour. Everyone was Asian speaking. The tour was conducted in Chinese ONLY. Guide spoke a little broken English. We really were mislead!
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent tour experience. We are disappointed to learn that you felt the tour was conducted predominantly in Chinese and that the English guidance provided did not meet the standard you rightfully expected. Please be assured that we have addressed this matter directly with the guide involved to reinforce the importance of delivering balanced, professional commentary in both languages at all times. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve our services, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future.

Forceful tour guide
The tour was almost completely in Chinese for some reason. The tour guide forced us to write a good review. Very bothersome.
Response from the operator: Thank you for bringing these serious concerns to our attention. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the experience you described. We are deeply concerned to hear that the tour was conducted primarily in Chinese, and especially that you felt pressured by the guide to write a positive review. This is completely unacceptable and against our company's values and policies. All guests should feel comfortable to form and share their own honest opinions. Please be assured that we are treating this matter with the utmost seriousness and are conducting a full internal review based on your feedback. The issues you raised regarding language provision and guide conduct will be addressed immediately with the team involved. We truly regret that this incident has marred your experience. Your feedback is crucial in helping us uphold our service standards. If you are willing, we would appreciate it if you could contact us at qc@uvbookings.com with more specific details (such as the order number) to assist in our investigation. Thank you again for your honesty.

Victoria: Butchart Gardens, Mile 0, Harbor 1-Day from Vancouver: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vancouver.
How much does Victoria: Butchart Gardens, Mile 0, Harbor 1-Day from Vancouver cost?
+
Prices start at $181 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vancouver usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Victoria: Butchart Gardens, Mile 0, Harbor 1-Day from Vancouver take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vancouver is not rushed.
Is Victoria: Butchart Gardens, Mile 0, Harbor 1-Day from Vancouver worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 44 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vancouver, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Victoria: Butchart Gardens, Mile 0, Harbor 1-Day from Vancouver?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Victoria: Butchart Gardens, Mile 0, Harbor 1-Day from Vancouver suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Victoria: Butchart Gardens, Mile 0, Harbor 1-Day from Vancouver?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vancouver can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vancouver and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Victoria: Butchart Gardens, Mile 0, Harbor 1-Day from Vancouver start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vancouver within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Vancouver?
+
On Outty we rank every Vancouver experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Vancouver City Sightseeing Tour: Capilano Suspension Bridge & Vancouver Lookout, Epic Electric Bike Tour of Vancouver, Whistler, Sea to Sky Gondola, & Shannon Falls Tour from Vancouver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Vancouver?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Vancouver?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
