Victor Harbor Day Tour with return via McLaren Vale

This tour was very enjoyable, the driver, Roger was informative and supplied lots of information as we left Adelaide via Mt Barker and headed to Strathalbyn for a short break. A very nice country town with lots of interesting buildings. We then headed to Goolwa and looked at the lake and barrages, before heading into Victor Harbor. The causeway was amazing and the granite island offered many magnificent views. Plenty of wildlife around on the walk. Had a quick lunch break, before heading back to Adelaide via the McLaren Vale wine region.

Response from the operator: Hi rkjohns2n, Thanks so much for your leaving us another fabulous review! We’re very happy to hear you also enjoyed the Victor Harbor and Southern Highlights tour, it certainly is a beautiful part of South Australia. Thank you for choosing us not once, but twice, for your day touring. Warm regards, Mara from Adelaide Sightseeing

Fun, quirky, and extremely informative.

Pete, the driver, was fantastic. His knowledge of the history of Adelaide was accurate and interestingly informative. He also had a quirky sense of humour, and his knowledge of interesting but unusual facts was hilarious. I liked his honest assessment of places to eat. I would most certainly recommend this tour company after 2 awesome experiences.

Response from the operator: Hi Joanne, Hello again! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave another review and for choosing us for not one, but two of your SA touring experiences. We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the Victor Harbor and Southern Highlights tour and that Pete made the day so fun, informative, and full of quirky insights! We cherish his local knowledge, humour, and recommendations. Your kind words mean a lot to us, and we’re so glad both tours left such a great impression. We hope to see you back in Adelaide for more adventures in the future! Kind regards, Mara from Adelaide Sightseeing

Very good Athol gave a very good commentary throughout the whole trip. He has a goid sense of humour. A very good drive

A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. A SUGGESTION WOULD BE TO PARK THE BUS IN THE OLD AREA OF STRATHALBYN SO WE COULD ENJOY A WALK UP & DOWN THE STREET TO ENJOY THE HOUSES.

Response from the operator: Hello gayebario, we're glad to hear you had a great experience with us. Athol will be thrilled to know he played a key role in making your day memorable. Your suggestion about parking the bus in the old area of Strathalbyn has been noted. We always strive to make our guests' experiences enjoyable and your feedback plays a big role in that. We hope to welcome you on another Adelaide Sightseeing tour soon. Kind regards, Kathryn from Adelaide Sightseeing.

Victor Harbor and Southern Highlights from Adelaide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Adelaide.

How much does Victor Harbor and Southern Highlights from Adelaide cost?

+

Prices start at $78 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Adelaide usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Victor Harbor and Southern Highlights from Adelaide take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Adelaide is not rushed.

Is Victor Harbor and Southern Highlights from Adelaide worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 48 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Adelaide, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Victor Harbor and Southern Highlights from Adelaide?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Victor Harbor and Southern Highlights from Adelaide suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Victor Harbor and Southern Highlights from Adelaide?

+

Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Adelaide can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Adelaide and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Victor Harbor and Southern Highlights from Adelaide start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Adelaide within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Adelaide?

+

On Outty we rank every Adelaide experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Barossa Small Group Tour: Wine tasting, Lunch & Chocolate, Discover Barossa: 4 Wine Tastings, Gourmet Lunch, and Hidden Gems, Adelaide Highlights, Hahndorf & McLaren Vale Wine Tasting and Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Adelaide?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Adelaide?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
