    Great tour, mediocre...

Great tour, mediocre driver and confusing experience. Three stars due to to very frustrating driver Winery and lunch outstanding. Driver was waiting with sign. Unsure if language barrier, but not interactive and struggle to answer questions. I purchased tickets that included entry to Mt Ves. The driver left and unbeknownst to us the tickets did not show entry. We had to purchase there which was a pain. Waiting to hear about refund. The walk was great and a unique experience with unreal views for days. Wear good shows and sunscreen. The lunch and winery were off the chain. Beautiful place with nice, up-close tour and a ton of great food and wine. We were with a cruise and we had plenty of time to get back to port (Naples) and walk around.

Great wine in an idyllic location

Lovely location. Great food. Great wine and friendly staff. The tour could have been a little longer and more insight into the wine making process but the staff were happy for us to walk around and ask as many questions as we liked.

Look Elsewhere for Winery Tour in Naples

We were so excited for this wine tour but were disappointed. As a party of 8, it was not worth the money. The driver that came for us had no idea where he was taking us, spent over 2 hours of the "3 1/2 hour' time driving to and fro. Did not try any olive oils, and frankly the wine tastings were rushed, with very little explanation of what we were tasting. My glass wasn't even empty and they were pouring something else in. We spent maybe 10 minutes in the winery itself and this time of year nothing was actually in production. We reached out to the tour vendor and they insisted we were offered a tour of Naples to compensate for not touring Mt Vesuvius but that was not the case. I've never done this before, and travel often, but would not recommend.

Vesuvio Guided Tour, Wine Tasting & Lunch + Transfer from Naples

The vineyard wine tasting and lunch were incredible. Will definitely do again. There was a confusion with the actual tour itself. We were brought to do a climb of Mt. Vesuvius which I did not want to do and the description of what to expect did not include it. Our driver, Ettore, was very accommodating and assisted us with getting to the vineyard. Viator did make it right by refunding a portion of the tour fee.

Beautiful Day with Good Food and Wine

We had the most wonderful time at Mount Vesuvio Cantina. The vineyards were gorgeous and the food was delicious with perfectly paired wines from the cellar. We were very excited to learn about the ease with which we could have wine shipped to our home for a very decent price!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.

How much does Vesuvio Gran cono + Wine Tasting & Lunch + Transfer from Naples cost?

    +

Prices start at $148 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Vesuvio Gran cono + Wine Tasting & Lunch + Transfer from Naples take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.

Is Vesuvio Gran cono + Wine Tasting & Lunch + Transfer from Naples worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Vesuvio Gran cono + Wine Tasting & Lunch + Transfer from Naples?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Vesuvio Gran cono + Wine Tasting & Lunch + Transfer from Naples suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Vesuvio Gran cono + Wine Tasting & Lunch + Transfer from Naples?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Vesuvio Gran cono + Wine Tasting & Lunch + Transfer from Naples start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Naples?

    +

On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Naples?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Naples?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
