About this experience
The best parts of Venice are always the secret and inespected ones. In my opinion in fact, "traveling" means "discovering". Travelers should therefore feel a constant urge to learn new things and see ... "more". In Venice, they would try to discover the whole city and live it at fullest. They would have to look at customs and traditions, support the arts and crafts, taste the local food ... in short, they would have fun. And in doing so, but also the emotions felt (and the eyes of those who led them). I would like to show you off-the-beaten-path, discovering the mysterious, the hidden corners of Venice which is not JUST St. Mark's Square: it's ALSO St. Mark's Square . I look forward to meeting you! Nadia, your "Friend in Venice"

A Wonderful Introduction to Venice with Linda
My husband and I had a fantastic tour of Venice with Linda! She met us at our hotel and speaks great English. She was incredibly knowledgeable, authentic and genuinely friendly. From the very beginning, it was clear how passionate she is about Venice and how much she loves sharing its history, architecture and hidden treasures. Linda took us down beautiful little back streets and showed us hidden gems that we'd never have discovered without her. She gave us a fascinating introduction to the history and architecture of Venice, while making the whole experience feel personal, relaxed and fun. It felt like we were discovering Venice with a friend who knows the city inside out! Linda also gave us some great restaurant recommendations. She genuinely cared about our experience and even checked in with us after the tour to see how we were getting on. Our first stay in Venice was made truly special thanks to Linda. We couldn't have asked for a better introduction to this beautiful city. Thank you so much Linda for an amazing time! We hope to see you again when we return to Venice. 😊

Meet Nadia and Fall in Love with Venice
Lovely. Perfect. Nadia opens her heart to the visitors of her home, Venice. She listened carefully to what my husband and I wanted in the walking tour which was to see and experience aspects of Venice that would help us plan future trips with our family. She tailored our time together and showed us places we’d not ever seen on our own. We fell in love with Venice and gained a truly lovely Friend in Venice.

The Real Story of Venice.
Nadia’s walking tour is not one for tourists but, as she said, for the travellers who wish to experience, even though fleetingly, what it is like to be a Venetian in Venice. To experience the sights, sounds and enticing aromas which makes up the ancient patina of this magnificent maritime city. Nadia gave a historic overview of Venice which was entertaining and informative. We learned so much in such a short time. Nadia knows and loves her “miracle city’ well. And I feel fortunate she shared its secrets with us while wandered through its beauty along Calle after Calle unimpeded by the tourists. Grazie mille Nadia.
Response from the operator: Dear Juanita, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words. The true purpose of my tours is to reveal a Venice that is often misunderstood, a city that many people look at without ever truly seeing. Today, many visitors experience Venice at a fast pace, moving from one landmark to another without having the chance to discover the quieter details that give the city its soul. Venice deserves more than that. It deserves time, curiosity, and respect. It is a city that reveals itself slowly: in a quiet calle, in the aroma drifting from an old workshop, in the reflection of water dancing on an ancient façade, or in a story passed down through generations. This is why I am especially grateful when I meet travellers like you, people who wish to go beyond the surface and experience Venice in a more authentic way. I am always happy when travellers carry a little of Venice with them after their visit. I hope the Venice you discovered will stay with you and perhaps inspire others to experience the city with the same curiosity and openness. Thank you for walking with me and for choosing to experience my city with such openness and curiosity. With gratitude, Nadia @friendinvenice

Venice tour with Nadia
Nadia was awesome. We had a great time. She took us "off the beaten path" and away from the crowds. She was very knowledgeable, and it was nice to get a local's perspective. She modifies the tour for the client and is not limited to the same tour as everyone else. We will definitely book her again for the next trip.
Response from the operator: Dear Cris, Thank you so much for your kind words and for choosing to explore Venice with me. I never take for granted the trust my guests place in me when they choose to spend part of their trip with me. I am truly grateful for that trust, and I always feel a strong responsibility to offer something meaningful in return. My hope is always to offer an experience that allows visitors to slow down, look beyond the crowds, and discover Venice with curiosity and depth. It was a real pleasure to guide you, and I’m happy that you allowed yourselves to be surprised by the city. I hope to welcome you again in Venice for even more authentic and unforgettable moments. Warm regards, Nadia @friendinvenice

Best tour of Venice, Murano and Burano
Nadia was an excellent tour guide. Being a local, she was able to navigate us around the crowds thus affording up the opportunity to see more of the sights without the hustle and bustle. The water taxi tour around hidden canals of Venice, the Murano gallery experience and the walkthrough Burano were fabulous! She booked a table for lunch at Burano and the meal experience was exceptional! I highly recommend Nadia as a tour guide when n the area.
Response from the operator: Dear Alina, Thank you so much for your beautiful words. Visiting the glass factory I carefully chose for you is truly a unique experience, far from the usual tourist routes. Even for us Venetians, who should be “used to it,” every visit still feels special, because each piece created there is a new work of art. Burano is simply beautiful, but to truly understand its soul, it should also be discovered away from the busiest tourist paths. Sometimes, all it takes is a small change in perspective to enjoy a completely different experience and create memories that stay with you forever. It was a pleasure sharing these moments with you, and I truly hope to see you again in Venice. Baci baci, Nadia

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Venice Off the Beaten Path – Private Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.
How much does Venice Off the Beaten Path – Private Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $260 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Venice Off the Beaten Path – Private Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.
Is Venice Off the Beaten Path – Private Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 111 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Venice Off the Beaten Path – Private Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Venice Off the Beaten Path – Private Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Venice Off the Beaten Path – Private Walking Tour?
+
Around 39 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Venice Off the Beaten Path – Private Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Venice?
+
On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Venice?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Venice?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
