    It was wonderful! We...

It was wonderful! We learn so much about the history of Venice and the Chuch and Doge Palace. The Gondola ride was quite an experience; the gondoliers are incredibly talented. Our tour guide was fantastic and I would take a tour with her again tomorrow. Excellent job by aviator.

Response from the operator: Hi Jamie! Thank you for the glowing feedback. We’re delighted you enjoyed learning the history of St. Mark's and navigating the canals on a classic gondola ride. Our guides work hard to make every day memorable. We hope to guide you on another bucket-list experience soon!

The tour guide was very nice and she was very knowable. The tour was worth the money and we met some nice people. The only complaint is the gondola ride wasn’t really much fun

Response from the operator: Hi Rhonda, thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed your knowledgeable guide and connecting with fellow travelers at St. Mark's! We're sorry the gondola portion fell short of expectations and have shared this with our Venice Operations Manager to help improve the route experience. We hope to welcome you back again!

    Half tour.

The first part of the tour was very interesting and great. After we had free time for lunch and was given a meeting place our guide or other participants were not there. We were also early. So half of the actual tour was a loss. We looked forward to this as it was the first time in Venice. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Response from the operator: Hi Steve, Thank you for reaching out, and we are so glad to hear that you enjoyed the first part of your Venice in A Day tour. However, we are truly sorry for the frustration and confusion surrounding the afternoon meeting point, especially on your very first visit to Venice. Navigating the crowded streets and bustling plazas of Venice can sometimes create unexpected challenges, but missing half of your experience is certainly not the day we wanted you to have. We take this feedback seriously and have already brought this directly to our Venice Operations Manager and lead tour coordinators to review our meeting protocols and guide communication so this does not happen again. Please reach out to our team at support@thetourguy.com so we can look into this further and work to get this resolved for you. We hope to have the chance to welcome you back and give you the seamless Venice experience you deserve.

Very long walking day but Rita our guide gave us moment to rest. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Took care of her group by asking how we were regularly.

Venice in A Day: St Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace & Gondola Ride: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.

How much does Venice in A Day: St Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace & Gondola Ride cost?

    +

Prices start at $104 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Venice in A Day: St Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace & Gondola Ride take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.

Is Venice in A Day: St Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace & Gondola Ride worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 696 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Venice in A Day: St Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace & Gondola Ride?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Venice in A Day: St Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace & Gondola Ride suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Venice in A Day: St Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace & Gondola Ride?

    +

Around 244 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Venice in A Day: St Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace & Gondola Ride start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Venice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Venice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Venice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
