    Great tour for solo travel!

My tour was great! All the information was clear, and the spots we visited were worth while. I went back to the places I liked the most after the tour and got great recommendations for food and drinks! My tour guide also bought my groups some drinks, such as aperol spritzs’. Overall 10/10 experience, especially for a solo traveler

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear that you had such a great experience and found the tour both informative and enjoyable. It's wonderful to know that the places you visited inspired you to return afterward and explore even more, and that the food and drink recommendations helped make your trip even better. We're especially happy to hear that your guide went above and beyond to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for the group. As a solo traveler, finding memorable experiences and making connections can be especially meaningful, so we're delighted that the tour was a highlight of your trip. Thank you for your 10/10 recommendation, and we hope to welcome you on another adventure in the future! Many thanks, VoxCity

    Total garbage

TOTAL GARBAGE There is no audio to this so-called audio guide of the Bell Tower. Only four panoramic pictures of dubious quality, non expandable. A total and useless waste of money.

Response from the operator: Good morning, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. We’re sorry if you didn’t enjoy our audioguide. We always strive to optimize the length of the audio and improve it thanks to your valuable feedback. It is tested and carefully designed to ensure a pleasant experience within the venue. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and will review the clarity of our instructions to help ensure a better experience for future travelers. We always try to do our best to ensure good experiences. Many thanks, VoxCity

Disappointing no centralized meeting location or address listed waste of money.

Very disappointing, there was no landmark to meet the guide or the tour group. I reached out to the guide or contacted whomever was listed under their contact information about where the physical address was to meet people because San Marcos Square is extremely crowded especially on a Saturday and nobody got back to me. So this was a complete waste of money and very disappointing that I could not locate a central area to meet people. And there was no instructions under the meeting point information on the website. They need to have clear instructions about where to meet the guy because there’s probably 50 to 102 groups that meet in the central area of San Marcos Square so there’s nothing to delineate where you’re supposed to meet the guide.

    Beat Expectations

Didn’t expect much given the low price and availability only 3 hours prior, but this tour was great. It started with a Virtual Reality show of Venetian history. Valentina gave us an extremely informative tour of highly relevant aspects of how Venice became what it is today.

Do not book! Super unprofessional and disorganized

We booked a tour for 11:30am and when we go there we were told that they had put us on the 4pm tour, which we could not attend because of plans. After A LOT of pushback and arguing with the tour leader they put my group of 15 ppl on the 11:30 tour with 10 others, but the tour was not Historical like we had booked it was just a general tour of Venice. Very disappointed. The Viator and Vox team would not help us in any way and would not issue a refund for THEIR mistake. What a terrible experience. I would not recommend booking this tour.

Venice: Hidden Gems Walking Tour with a Local Guide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.

How much does Venice: Hidden Gems Walking Tour with a Local Guide cost?

    +

Prices start at $27 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Venice: Hidden Gems Walking Tour with a Local Guide take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.

Is Venice: Hidden Gems Walking Tour with a Local Guide worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Venice: Hidden Gems Walking Tour with a Local Guide?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Venice: Hidden Gems Walking Tour with a Local Guide suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Venice: Hidden Gems Walking Tour with a Local Guide?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Venice: Hidden Gems Walking Tour with a Local Guide start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Venice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Venice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Venice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
