    1. Flowing through the heart of Venice, the Grand Canal is a sight to behold. Spanning over 2 miles in length and shaped like a backward "S," this iconic waterway weaves its way through the city, connecting captivating neighborhoods and showcasing the architectural wonders of Venice. Embark on a journey along the Grand Canal and witness the grandeur of the palaces, churches, and buildings that line its banks. Marvel at their intricate designs, adorned with colorful facades and elegant details, reflecting centuries of Venetian history and cultural richness. 2. Teatro La Fenice

In the late 18th century, Venice boasted seven ancient theaters, two dedicated to drama and the rest to music. The most luxurious among them was the Teatro San Benedetto, located near Campo San Luca. Established by the Grimani family in 1755, it was later handed over to the Noble Society of box holders. However, due to a judicial agreement in 1787, the society was expelled and compelled to surrender the theater to the Venier nobles, who owned the land on which the building stood. The society promptly set out to construct a new and grander theater, which would be called Gran Teatro La Fenice, like the mythical and immortal bird mentioned by Herodotus in his Histories. Just as the phoenix is capable of rising from its own ashes, this new theater would symbolize society's rebirth from its misfortunes.

    3. Ponte de le Ostreghe

There are numerous toponymic persistences that recall a widespread presence in the past, somewhat throughout the city, of horticultural activities or in any case of undeveloped areas covered with vegetation, among which we can mention the campi, campaign, and courtyards of the grass or the calluses of the fighter. The first certain attestation of the Rio dell'Alboro dates back to 1696, while that of the Rio de le Ostreghe joins it in the following century. It is probable that a seller of these delicious seafood was stationed nearby, the cultivation of which in the lagoon had a significant boost especially in the first half of the 19th century, leaving evidence also in the ostregheri canal of the same name, today Canale dei Lavraneri, in Sacca Fisola.

    4. Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute

Santa Maria della Salute, located in Venice, is a magnificent basilica that stands as a symbol of gratitude and hope. Built-in the 17th century, it was dedicated to the Virgin Mary to commemorate the city's deliverance from the devastating plague. Its impressive domed structure and elegant Baroque design make it a standout architectural gem along the Grand Canal. The interior is adorned with exquisite artworks and elaborate decorations, creating a sense of awe for visitors. Today, Santa Maria della Salute remains an important religious and cultural landmark in Venice, drawing both locals and tourists to marvel at its beauty and significance.

On this trip it served for a deeper knowledge of a culture different from ours.

We had a beautiful tour Stopping at different facilities Hotel, Resort.. From the magnificent landscapes, full of ancient history and recent Bangkok chaotic city, but fascinating!! Between majestic temples and modern buildings, evocative meetings with monks immersed in nature .. The bathroom with beautiful elephants to see... and many other interesting things

Response from the operator: Thanks for your feedback! It is very precious to us! We are happy that you enjoyed our tour, we are always working to improve our service! Thank you!

They advertise price match but its a lie - do not fall for it, it is a scam.

Booked Gondolier trip in Venice £148.22 for two people, advertised as a “magical 30-minute experience around the canals of Venice, book now to avoid being over charged locally, but if you do find it cheaper, we will price match”. The trip was rubbish, last 20 mins at most, only thing the gondolier said was to moan about the weight not being distributed evenly, basically went round a few corners and back to base, then another 5 mins just to park up again. The event organisers were advertising same trip for €36 pp. On complaining they refused to price match. So if you take my advice DON’T BOOK, it’s a scam, and pay locally, but go to a private Gondolier and not the rip off merchants we used. So much for the magic of Venice.

Response from the operator: Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your recent experience with Venezia Gondola Tour. We take all feedback seriously and strive to address any concerns our customers may have. Upon reviewing your accusations, we must emphasize the seriousness of your claims. We are currently investigating the matter to ensure that our response is appropriately addressed in the appropriate channels. It is crucial for all parties involved to understand the gravity of such allegations. Firstly, we would like to clarify the matter concerning the pricing. The rate you mentioned, 36 euros, does not accurately represent the cost of our tour. As you may recall, the price you paid reflects the additional fees associated with purchasing through a reputable platform such as TripAdvisor. This platform ensures not only the convenience of booking but also provides you with a comprehensive pre- and post-sales service, ensuring a seamless experience. While it may entail a slightly higher cost, it guarantees the utmost satisfaction and convenience for our customers. Furthermore, we would like to address your dissatisfaction with the tour itself. It is important to note that you did participate in the full tour as advertised. Any request for a refund was duly considered but ultimately rejected based on our policies. Threatening to leave a negative review in exchange for a refund is not aligned with our principles of fair business practice. We understand that every individual has the right to their opinion and preferences regarding our tours. However, participating in the tour signifies acceptance of our services, and as such, no refund is warranted under these circumstances. We value your feedback and would like to invite you to discuss this matter further to reach a resolution satisfactory for both parties. Please feel free to contact us directly to address any remaining concerns or questions you may have. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Sincerely,

    Waste of money

What a waste of money, we paid £148.22 for 15 minutes in the gondola. There was no narration and we went out of the docking area, up a side canal and back. To top it off the other couple on our gondola had paid €37. 00 each. I will be contacting Tripadvidor for a refund. Also it was not magical, just a conveyor belt. Do not book before you travel!

If your purpose is to say you "did it" then this is fine

If your purpose is to say you "did it" then this is fine but if you are wanting an experience then this is not for you. As they say you get what you pay for. Our Gondolier chatted with another Gondolier the whole time so we had another group of people in a Gondola next to us the enitre time. The water taxi had a far more intimate experience but we have pictures to say "been there, done that."

Response from the operator: We had a conversation with our operator and unfortunately the gondolier did not have a good attitude. We apologize and inform you that the gondolier has already been fired from the company.

It was nice to be back after 30 years.

I took my mother to Venice and booked this gondola. It was disappointing, it was 22 minutes and that is short for so much money. We expected more from this, it would take 30 minutes.

Response from the operator: We apologize that your experience with our Magical Gondola Journey: Explore Venice's Grand Canal in Style! did not meet your expectations. Your feedback is important to us, and we take your comments seriously. We apologize for the shorter-than-expected duration of the gondola ride. We will review our internal procedures to ensure a more fulfilling experience for our customers in the future. Thank you for sharing your experience, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again for a more satisfactory experience.

Venice Gondola Experience with Exclusive Ebook: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.

How much does Venice Gondola Experience with Exclusive Ebook cost?

    +

Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Venice Gondola Experience with Exclusive Ebook take?

    +

Plan for about 0.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.

Is Venice Gondola Experience with Exclusive Ebook worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 38 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.3/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Venice Gondola Experience with Exclusive Ebook?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Venice Gondola Experience with Exclusive Ebook suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Venice Gondola Experience with Exclusive Ebook?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 0.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Venice Gondola Experience with Exclusive Ebook start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Venice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Venice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Venice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
