Staying at the Scalon del...

Staying at the Scalon del Doge was the best decision we made when visiting Venice. From start to finish the hostess Alessandra made our stay wonderful. It felt like we were staying with family. She helped us navigate getting from Venice to Ravenna for our cruise. For whatever reason NCL labels their embarkation from Venice but it’s actually Ravenna. Alessandra didn’t skip a beat. She scheduled a water taxi for us who then met with a private taxi on land to get us to Ravenna on time for our cruise. Absolutely would stay there again and highly recommend to anyone visiting Venice. Water taxi docks right in front of the B&B and it’s in walking distance to Rialto Bridge, St. Mark’s Square, and lots of shopping!! Can’t say enough good things about this place! Thank you again, Alessandra for making our stay so memorable!

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! It seems this review may refer to your accommodation in Venice rather than our Doge’s Palace Guided Tour. We hope you had a wonderful time in Venice! Doooing Experience Team

Great focused tour of one of Venice's top sights

Our guide, Enrico, was friendly and very knowledgeable. It was great to skip lines and have him take us to all of the most significant spots in the large and impressive Doges' Palace and Bridge of Sighs. We learned a great deal about the history of the Venice Republic.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your kind review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the guided visit to the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs, and that Enrico’s knowledge and guidance made your experience even more enriching. Doooing Experience team.

Fabulous

Worth the money to skip the lines and be informed along the way of the history and significance of the building and artwork. Our guide, Eliza, was fantastic combing history and humor.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your kind review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience, appreciated skipping the lines, and found Eliza’s combination of history and humor so engaging throughout the tour. Doooing Experience team.

Not worth it

Way too expensive for a 1.5 hr tour in my view. The guide would not answer any of the questions I asked properly. Not too much history for me to learn here too.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback, Varsha. We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. We always aim to provide an engaging and informative experience, and it’s disappointing to learn that you felt the value and the quality of the explanations were not satisfactory. Your comments regarding the guide and the level of detail shared are very important to us, and we will make sure to address this internally to improve our service. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and hope to have the opportunity to offer you a better one in the future.

Great tour. Very...

Great tour. Very informative and historical from viewpoints we had never considered. Lots of casual walking but included lots of stairwells both up and down.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your great review, Darrell! We’re delighted you enjoyed your Doooing Experience tour and found it both informative and engaging. It’s wonderful to hear you discovered new perspectives along the way. We hope to welcome you again soon! Doooing Experience Team

Venice Doge's Palace and Bridge of Sighs Guided Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.

How much does Venice Doge's Palace and Bridge of Sighs Guided Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $105 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Venice Doge's Palace and Bridge of Sighs Guided Tour take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.

Is Venice Doge's Palace and Bridge of Sighs Guided Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Venice Doge's Palace and Bridge of Sighs Guided Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Venice Doge's Palace and Bridge of Sighs Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Venice Doge's Palace and Bridge of Sighs Guided Tour?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Venice Doge's Palace and Bridge of Sighs Guided Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Venice?

+

On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Venice?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Venice?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
