Best Experience in Thailand

What a wonderful experience I had a Phuket Thai Cooking Academy. The staff was great! Beyond knowledgeable Answered all my questions and walked me step by step thru each dish. I took the whole day class. The walk around the market was so much fun! The waterfall was also nice. I’m back home now and I’ve been cooking what I learned. I’m very popular with my friends and family now.

Delicious outing, but a little rushed at the end.

This was probably one of the highlights of my time in Thailand. King was so much fun to learn from, and she provided so much knowledge that only adds more to the class. My only gripe is that I felt kinda rushed in eating everything to head back to my hotel. I recognize that they offered to package everything which is definitely appreciated, but sometimes the hotels don't have a fridge and/or microwave.

Outstanding experience

We chose the full day experience, and thoroughly enjoyed the day. We ended up having a personal experience in the morning with only the two of us in the class, and the afternoon had one other person join, the benefits of being just before the Christmas rush!! The market tour was very informative, and now we hope to find those ingredients back in Canada (good luck to us). and the class excellent, with the two of us making 19 dishes in total. the only drawback is the dishes could be a little smaller, as we ended up with too much food to take with us. The waterfalls were a bit disappointing due to the season, lack of rain and low water flow. overall a great experience, and if we return to Phuket, I would consider one of there 5 day classes.

Don't need whole day!

I absolutely loved this cookery class! Day started with a trip round the market where we were shown the many local fruits and veg and herbs and spices that go into Thai food and got to taste local delicacies before heading off to the cookery school. We all got to select 5 dishes to cook from a wide selection of Thai food. But then I was asked to select a further five for the afternoon session!! Every other person there had opted for a half day and although I LOVE Thai food with all the will in the world I am not able to EAT 10 meals!!! We set to with guided instruction from the superb instructors and turned out dish after dish of amazing authentic Thai food. Then as a group we then sat and ate it. Heaven! This was a good 4 hours start to finish and that was just about enough time there. I had booked a full day cookery class but decided that I wanted to leave when we' d finished lunch. To do a whole day would mean joining the afternoon class: other clever people who had also opted for half a day, unlike me. The waterfall trip also didn't materialise as that would have meant waiting around for the PM group to finish so all in all a waste of my money BUT the half day was perfect! The instructor said that she would email ALL of the recipes to us which I haven't checked yet. I highly recommend this experience: I'm now a Goddess of Thai cooking (Ok maybe not that good but enough to cook a full-on meal with desert to impress back home in Blighty!!) and I now have a certificate from the cookery school too!! Happy days!!

Culinary Delights!!!

A full day cooking authentic Thai cuisine!! Professionally run, extremely well organised but entertaining and fun. Our teachers and market guide were amazing, had fabulous English and made everyone feels welcome. The market tour was informative and interesting. The food at the Academy was of excellent quality (Especially the food i prepared...of course) fresh and tasty. The full day class has you cooking 10 different dishes. We were provided with a certificate and all of the recipes at the end of the class. I bought a knife and wooden spoon from the academy and had no problem bringing them back to Australia in my checked baggage. Thank you once again to the Team at the "Phuket Thai Cooking Academy" for a fabulously yummy day!!!

Vegetarian Thai Cooking Class: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.

How much does Vegetarian Thai Cooking Class cost?

+

Prices start at $2300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Vegetarian Thai Cooking Class take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.

Is Vegetarian Thai Cooking Class worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Vegetarian Thai Cooking Class?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Vegetarian Thai Cooking Class suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Vegetarian Thai Cooking Class?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Vegetarian Thai Cooking Class start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phuket?

+

On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phuket?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phuket?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
