About this experience
Hello! I'm Spring ^^ I want to show you the chill version of Saigon through vegan street food, hidden alleys, and everyday life. This isn't about ticking famous dishes off a list. Everything is authentic Vietnamese comfort food, naturally vegan and made for locals, not tourists. We'll usually try a mix of bánh xèo, bún thịt nướng, chả giò, bò lá lốt, bánh bèo, bánh bột lọc, há cảo, xíu mại, bột chiên, chè, and seasonal fruits (the lineup changes with the vendors). We'll explore hidden alleys, an old apartment block, and maybe a lively local market. I made this tour hoping vegan travelers would make friends. But I suck at marketing, so sometimes the only friend you make is me or one of my team member. Afterwards I'll send you my personal vegan recipes for the dishes. We'll eat a lot... but we'll also walk around 7,000 steps, so we feel less guilty for eating so much. Come hungry!

At Chè Hiển Khánh, we’ll try some classic Vietnamese sweets that have been enjoyed for generations: like fragrant lotus seed chè, soft bánh cốm, and delicate bánh đậu xanh. Perfect vegan walking tour
What a memorable night! Don’t hesitate to book this great tour with Spring. Not only did we try a lot of delicious vegan food, we also explored less touristy areas we’d never have found on our own. It was wonderful to talk to Spring as she expertly navigated us through busy city traffic on our way to the next lovely bite. HCMC has a lot of options for vegans and vegetarians, but tonight we tried a lot of dishes we’d have surely missed without Spring’s guidance. Thanks again, Spring!
Response from the operator: Thank you :-) I’m happy you had such a memorable night with me. I love showing guests those little corners of Saigon that are easy to miss, especially the places you probably wouldn’t discover on your own. And yes… there is always more vegan food hiding around the city than people expect! Hope you have many more delicious adventures in Vietnam 🇻🇳

I loved the evening😍
I loved the evening😍 We were a small group of two girls. It felt like meeting friends for dinner. Spring, our guide, took us to many places I wouldn’t have found myself and shared also some of the “behind the scenes”. The food was amazing, so was the company😍 Highly recommend!!
Response from the operator: Aww thank you 😍 I love that you said it felt like meeting friends for dinner, that’s exactly the kind of evening I hope to create :-) Good food, little hidden places, lots of chatting and hopefully a few laughs along the way. So happy you enjoyed it!

Wonderful tour
What a great evening with Spring. I am a solo female traveller and I felt very at ease on this tour. I particularly appreciated Spring helping me to book a grab at the end and waiting with me until it arrived. The tour was carefully researched and will take you to places you are unlikely to find on your own. Food is lovely and Spring taught me a lot about Vietnamese culture. Recommend. Thank you Spring.
Response from the operator: I’m very happy you felt comfortable and enjoyed the evening. It was lovely having you along, and I’m glad I could share some of my favourite little corners of Saigon and a bit of Vietnamese culture with you. Safe travels and hope our paths cross again someday 😉

10/10 Would book again!
I would 10000% recommend booking this tour with Spring! She was so lovely. It was just her, my boyfriend and I and I felt like we all got on really well. She was a perfect mix of personable and funny, with also being super knowledgeable. The food itself was fantastic. I ate and enjoyed every single thing! My boyfriend is a bit more picky and Spring was super accommodating for him. It was really sweet, at one point he avoided dipping his summer role into some soy sauce. Then at the next location we had Vietnamese pancakes with a peanut dip, mine mixed with soy sauce and she mixed his with something else which he really enjoyed. I just thought it was super sweet that he didn’t even mention it but she took note and improved his experience. 10/10 would definitely book again when revisiting Ho Chi Mihn!
Response from the operator: This one genuinely made me smile🥹 Thank you so much. I’m especially happy I could make the experience a little more comfortable for your boyfriend and find small ways to make the food work for him too. Those little details matter to me. It was such a pleasure spending the evening with you both 😌 come back to Saigon anytime!

Really fantastic food tour with a great variety of tastes and places (felt like we explored quite a bit of saigon on the tour), hieu was a wonderful guide and overall I highly recommend
Response from the operator: I’m really happy you enjoyed the variety of food and places , I love making the tour feel like we’re actually exploring Saigon rather than just following a list of stops. And I’m glad I could help make it a fun and delicious adventure :)

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Vegan Walking Tour in Saigon Discover Hidden Flavors: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ho Chi Minh City.
How much does Vegan Walking Tour in Saigon Discover Hidden Flavors cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ho Chi Minh City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Vegan Walking Tour in Saigon Discover Hidden Flavors take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ho Chi Minh City is not rushed.
Is Vegan Walking Tour in Saigon Discover Hidden Flavors worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 141 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ho Chi Minh City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Vegan Walking Tour in Saigon Discover Hidden Flavors?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Vegan Walking Tour in Saigon Discover Hidden Flavors suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Vegan Walking Tour in Saigon Discover Hidden Flavors?
+
Around 49 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ho Chi Minh City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Vegan Walking Tour in Saigon Discover Hidden Flavors start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ho Chi Minh City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ho Chi Minh City?
+
On Outty we rank every Ho Chi Minh City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Adventure Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Tour From HCM, Cu Chi Tunnels Small-Group Tour: Vietnam War Underground Network, Cu Chi underground tour - Learn Vietnam war with others. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ho Chi Minh City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ho Chi Minh City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
