Great tour with Pinky
My partner and I did the vegan street food tour with Pinky. Pinky made this one of the highlights of our time in Vietnam. She brings so much energy and fun to the experience and has an amazing ability to connect with everyone in the group. She checked if we were comfortable with attending places where meat is prepared alongside the vegan dishes, or if we needed only vegan restaurants. We didn’t mind going to restaurants where meat is also served, but I appreciated being asked. It was exceptionally hot and I was struggling with the heat coming from a winter climate. Pinky offered me her personal fan to use while we were on the tour which was so lovely. She also found places with fans and air conditioning at the different restaurants so we could keep as cool and comfortable as possible during the evening. Her English is exceptional, making it easy to ask questions and learn about the history, culture and food of Hanoi. The food itself was outstanding, but the real magic was being taken to places we never would have discovered ourselves. In addition, Pinky shared a list of recommended restaurants and experiences that we will use for the rest of our trip. Thank you, Pinky, for an unforgettable evening filled with great food, laughter and local insights. We left with full stomachs, a confidence to navigate Hanoi as vegetarians, and even better memories.
Response from the operator: Hi Georgia, Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so happy Pinky helped make your time in Hanoi special. Your kind words about her care, energy, and local insights will mean a lot to her. Best regards, Công, Quang and Kiên.

A Must-Do Vegan Tour in Hanoi!
We had a wonderful experience on the tour. The highlight of the evening was definitely our guide, Angelina—she was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made everyone feel comfortable right away. The food stops were delicious and thoughtfully chosen, giving us a great variety of vegan dishes we wouldn’t have found on our own. Overall, it was a fun, informative, and very well-organized experience. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Angelina as your guide!
Response from the operator: Xin chào Daniela, Thank you for your kind review. We’re so happy to hear that you had a wonderful experience and enjoyed the variety of vegan dishes with our host Angelina. We hope to welcome you again in Hanoi. Thân mến, Công, Quang and Kiên.

Definitely worth it, amazing food experience.
The food scene in Hanoi is amazing, even for vegans! So glad we did the tour, our host Huong was amazing, so insightful and helpful. We tried about ten different dishes in lots of places we usually wouldn’t and now have the confidence to be more adventurous for the rest of our holiday. Thanks so much!
Response from the operator: Xin chào Thomas, Thank you for your wonderful review. We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed the vegan food experience in Hanoi with our host, Huong and felt more confident exploring local dishes afterward in Hanoi. It means a lot to us that the tour helped you discover new places and flavors. We hope to welcome you again. Thân mến, Onetrip With Local Travel Company

OMG, Ling is absolutely the best! What a wonderful guide and a great personality. We had a wonderful time, not just the food, but also the information she provided about the city and about her postdocs life.

We’re so happy to hear you had such a great time with Ling — she’ll be thrilled to know her stories and insights made your experience special. Good for Vegetarian as well
Excellent tour guide and great food tasting. We were able to have good vegetarian options on this tour. It was at comfortable pace. Guide had good knowledge about local cuisines. This helped us later to find right places due to vegetarian food restrictions.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your excellent review! We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the great food tasting and that we could provide good vegetarian options for you. It's wonderful that your guide was so knowledgeable and that the tour was paced comfortably. We hope to host you again! Best wishes,

Why this scores 82
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Vegan Street Food & Stories of Hanoi: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Vegan Street Food & Stories of Hanoi cost?
+
Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Vegan Street Food & Stories of Hanoi take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Vegan Street Food & Stories of Hanoi worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 286 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Vegan Street Food & Stories of Hanoi?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Vegan Street Food & Stories of Hanoi suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Vegan Street Food & Stories of Hanoi?
+
Around 100 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Vegan Street Food & Stories of Hanoi start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
