Best Vegan food we've had
I don't know how anyone can give this tour a negative review. We took the tour and thought it was fantastic. My wife is vegan, I eat meat - but the vegan tacos and vegan Pozole we had on this tour were great. If vegan food was always this good I'd never eat meat again. On top of that, our guide Eduardo is a pleasure: incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to both food and Roma Norte (where he grew up and which we explored on this tour). We would have him again when doing to Mexico City Market tour. That also was incredibly well done. Great tour, great guide...tons of fun.
Response from the operator: Dear Frank, Thanks for choosing Vibe Adventures! We are glad you enjoy the tour with Eduardo. Indeed, there are so many interesting things to discover about Mexico City. Take care and hope to see you on one of our tours again. gratefully, Vibe Adventures’ team

Vegan but fake meat instead of real foods
Sorry to say we were not thrilled with this tour. All of the stops were Vegan, as advertised, but were focused on "fake meat" versions of Mexican traditional food instead of featuring & reveling in the Vegan options available. When discussed with our tour guide, this was not an option. Getting to the tour, we walked by people cooking fresh tortillas. During the tour, we walked by people making elote. We discussed huitlacoche, squash blossoms, and other veggies/fruits that are so wonderful in Mexico City.
Response from the operator: Dear David, Thanks a lot for your valuable feedback. We are sorry to hear that our tour could not fully meet your expectations - we will do our best to improve our services in the future. Street food is an essential part of Mexico City's gastronomic culture and we could not miss adding some places specializing (and strictly following non-animal code in cooking) in vegan tacos and other "antojitos". Indeed, in those dishes plant substitutes of meat are used (generally based on soya, chickpeas, lentils, and setas mushrooms) but those can hardly be considered "fake meat" as the only thing they have in common with meat is just texture and presentation. On all our tours, we do our best to adjust the itinerary and inclusions to the needs and interests of travelers but due to the specifics of each tour (in this case, due to a limited number of vegan food locations in the area where the tour took place), not always it's possible. regards, gratefully, Vibe Adventures’ team

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Vegan Food Tour in Mexico City: A Culinary Adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.
How much does Vegan Food Tour in Mexico City: A Culinary Adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Vegan Food Tour in Mexico City: A Culinary Adventure take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.
Is Vegan Food Tour in Mexico City: A Culinary Adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Vegan Food Tour in Mexico City: A Culinary Adventure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Vegan Food Tour in Mexico City: A Culinary Adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Vegan Food Tour in Mexico City: A Culinary Adventure?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Vegan Food Tour in Mexico City: A Culinary Adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mexico City?
+
On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
