Be careful
This seems like a scam. We had same experience as A reviewer from 2 weeks ago. We showed up to address, at a supposed Giuly’s cafe. No cafe and no tour guides. The phone number we were given to contact the tour said this is the wrong number and was not helpful. We went to Giulys cafe, which was 2 blocks away (at a different address completely). The manger there assisted us as he said no tour guides were meeting at the suggested time at his restaurant. He was very helpful and helped us make calls. In short he said this is a bad company and very disorganized. Reading his body language…I think he thought it was more than a disorganized company. I just received an email….hours after our guided tour was to start that it had been cancelled. I would be cautious about booking with this company. We are disappointed as we will not be able to visit the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel as this was our only full day in Rome. I never write bad reviews by the way… but do not want others to fall into same trap.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about the confusion and frustration experienced regarding the meeting point and the communication on the day of your tour. Clear communication and reliable coordination are extremely important to us, and we are sorry that this was not your experience. Your comments have been noted and will be reviewed internally to help improve both our operational clarity and guest communication moving forward. We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate you sharing your experience.

Disappointing
Total disappointment. Italian scam. No one showed up, no one answering the phones... Fortunately TripAdvisor helpdesk was very helpful and after a few days with provided evidence they gave us a refund. We lost an afternoon in Rome because of this plus the frustration. Awful experience. Never again!
Response from the operator: We’re truly sorry for this experience. This is not the service we aim to provide. We understand, please contact us directly so we can look into this further for you.

Stunning with great bits of information
Rossella was wondeful guide. She was very knowledgable, effervescent and put the group at ease. She definitely highlighted so many wonderful things while on our tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you! So happy you loved Rossella as your guide. It's great to hear she was knowledgeable, full of energy and made the whole group feel comfortable. Really appreciate the feedback!

Cancelled immediately before without notice.
Terrible. They canceled without notice in the same day of our tour. They didn’t give a reasons that made sense. It was shady and confusing. We did not get to see the Vatican after all. Do not recommend.
Response from the operator: We are very sorry to hear about your experience. Please know that we always aim to inform our clients well in advance of any changes, as this is our standard practice. Your feedback is concerning, and we would like to investigate what happened in your case. If you would be willing, please send us an email with your booking details so we can review the situation and assist you directly. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and again, our sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

Shockingly awful..
We were due to start our tour on Thursday 19th march at around 14:00. At 15:30 the day before the tour we received a WhatsApp message from the tour company “show me Italy” which I have attached to this review. No apology, no explanation, no nothing. We only had 3 full days in Rome and the Vatican sights were meant to be the highlight of the trip. Bitterly disappointed we didn’t get to see it and very angry about the way “show me Italy” handled it. Truly awful experience.
Response from the operator: We’re very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. We informed you as soon as we had updates, as we truly aim to provide timely notice. We want every guest to have an amazing experience, so please send us an email so we can investigate and assist further.

Why this scores 49
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Guided Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Guided Tour cost?
+
Prices start at €99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Guided Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Guided Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 35 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Guided Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Guided Tour?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Guided Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pizza & Gelato Class with Wine by Cooking Italy, Rome [4in1] Pasta Making_Tiramisù_Wine Tasting_Secret Cellar, Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What happens to Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Guided Tour if the weather is bad?
+
It generally runs rain or shine, so dress for the forecast in Rome. Standard cancellation terms apply: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start.
What do travelers say about Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Guided Tour?
+
Across 35 reviews averaging 3.9 out of 5, recurring themes include the guide. Travelers single out the guide as the reason the experience works. One thing to know: Several reviewers found the schedule tight or the day long.
