Would highly recommend
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we learned many interesting things during our tour. The tour company personally guided us through the crowds and lines to connect with the guide. We were given a bar code to enter the expedited line at St Peter's. We're very satisfied with this tour experience.
Response from the operator: thanks a lot for giving us this review it is our pleasure to know that you liked our service

Crooks/ Highway Robbery
Guide was ok a little hard to understand worst part I had to shift tickets from morning to afternoon was up charged $100 so paid approximately 350 for tickets that are 60 e for 2 people the tour was not worth all that
Response from the operator: who does not understand the tour how we can teach them ! you have also paid for your guide and they are english speaker they are not giving free service to you

Crowds…and then Art & History!
People, lots and lots of people…then beautiful, breathtaking artwork and architecture!!! Our guide Paolo was great! He was friendly, personable and very knowledgeable. The tour operators office staff not so much, they were very short and dismissive. It’s worth the money though because you get to see all the things you want on the tour, but it’s quick; and with the crowds, and the lines you only get moments with the art and learning the history. The Vatican is a must see when in Rome though so it’s a give and take!
Response from the operator: thanks a lot for this wonderful feedback we are always ready to provide you our best and make sure you enjoying tours to keep it memorable

Juliana was a great tour guide, a great introduction to the sights to see at Vatican City.
Juliana was a great tour guide, so knowledgeable and was able to provide a wonderful experience for our group. I especially appreciate how she was able to navigate the crowds and other tour groups, explain in advance in less crowded areas so we could enjoy our time there during a very crowded period.
Response from the operator: thanks a lot for this wonderful feedback we are always ready to provide you our best and make sure you enjoying tours to keep it memorable

Surprising tour, and not in a good way
It was over $100 per person. Group of 17 people. Whole thing start to finish - 2 hours. That’s including the walk from the meeting point to the museum entrance, the guide losing one of the group at the toilet, then calling the office to realize she only has 17 and not 18 people, then the earphone distribution. We were on a sprint. She stopped at a few spots and much time at Sistine Chapel display boards outside. For the most part, it was touring a museum on skates. Best part Sistine Chapel. She gave us time to lookup and stare. Very cool, with the guide, we got to take shortcut down the back stairs to St. Peter’s. No tour though, just dropped us at the gate.
Response from the operator: we are surprised too by looking at this note i really don't know where it's written this tour includes a tour guide inside the church ! its clearly written inside the museum tour guide takes two hours and st peter church traveller will get only access also we are not km away from the entrance only 20 meters away which takes less than a minute to be inside from our office than what means including entering time ? actually you also don't know the price of vatican tours

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Vatican Museum ~ Sistine chapel Tour With Basilica Entrance: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does Vatican Museum ~ Sistine chapel Tour With Basilica Entrance cost?
+
Prices start at $135 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Vatican Museum ~ Sistine chapel Tour With Basilica Entrance take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is Vatican Museum ~ Sistine chapel Tour With Basilica Entrance worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Vatican Museum ~ Sistine chapel Tour With Basilica Entrance?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Vatican Museum ~ Sistine chapel Tour With Basilica Entrance suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Vatican Museum ~ Sistine chapel Tour With Basilica Entrance?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Vatican Museum ~ Sistine chapel Tour With Basilica Entrance start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
