Majestic and Informative
Fantastic! Breathtaking views! Captain Roman took us to the spots where whales had been reported, even if it wasn't quite our planned route. 1st Mate Stephen did an excellent job taking pictures, so we could enjoy the views and wildlife without trying to worry about capturing the moment ourselves. Jonah, Dani, and Sebastian were fantastic providing information on the whales energetically, entainingly, and not in a boring manner. Highly recommend!!
Response from the operator: Thank you for the fantastic review! We're thrilled you had a wonderful time on board with Captain Roman at the helm, and enjoyed all the marvelous knowledge shared by Jonah, Dani and Sebastian. We're delighted you enjoyed the photos taken by Stephen included in your complimentarty photo package, and we hope you enjoy sharing these memories with your friends and family! We will be sure to pass on you kind words to our crew. We appreciate your recommendation and we hope we will get to welcome you back again for more captivating excursions!

Overall good experience
The staff and captain did their best to find marine life! The ride was good, even for a choppy ride out. The staff is very informative and friendly! We were slightly disappointed with our views. I do understand they have to maintain a distance for the boat. The whales just didn't cooperate for a good view/show. The staff did their best to get us to see the sea lions, orcas, and humpbacks. Sightings are not guaranteed. The staff photography - meh...
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience, Patti! We’re glad you enjoyed the tour and found our crew friendly and informative. Wildlife can certainly be unpredictable, and while we always hope for those spectacular close encounters, the animals ultimately decide what we get to see. We’re happy our crew was able to show you sea lions, orcas, and humpbacks along the way, and we appreciate your feedback regarding the photography as well.

Whale Watching in Vancouver
Extraordinary experience! We went whale watching while we were in Vancouver. We saw Humpback whales, killer whales (orca’s) and harbour porpoise. Our naturalist Caitlin did an incredible job of walking us through entire process! The rest of the crew, Sebastian, Fox, Steven and Roman were great. Overall the experience was fantastic and I’ll certainly be returning on my next trip to Vancouver.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the fantastic review! We’re so glad you had such an extraordinary experience during your time in Vancouver and enjoyed the variety of marine wildlife you encountered. It’s wonderful to hear that Caitlin’s knowledge and guidance added so much to your tour, and that you had such a great experience with the entire crew. Thank you for joining us and for your kind words about the team. We’re delighted to hear that you’re planning to return, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another adventure!

Fantastic Whale watching adventure
We had a fantastic experience on this whale watching tour. The boat was comfortable and spacious, with plenty of room to take pictures, and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the trip. My husband and I were incredibly lucky to see a humpback whale, killer whales, sea lions, seals, a bald eagle, and even an otter! The highlight was definitely seeing the killer whales. They were very close to the boat, so the engines were switched off, allowing us to experience them in complete silence and actually hear their sounds. It was absolutely surreal and something we’ll never forget. The company also took professional photos during the tour, which we received afterwards. This is a lovely bonus and a great way to remember such a special experience. We would highly recommend booking this tour. It was truly unforgettable and one of the highlights of our trip!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the fantastic review! We are so delighted you were riding in comfort with us as you explored with us and had a marvelous time with our expert crew! What a brilliant day filled with the wonders of the Salish Sea, such a delight to see both orcas and humpback whales! It is always so much fun to watch the rambunctious sea lions and adorable harbour seals. Taking in the sounds of the killer whales is truly a breathtaking experience, and we are so glad we could share that with you, and we are thrilled you enjoyed the complimentary photo package! We hope we will get to welcome you back for more enchanting adventures!

Vancouver Sunset Whale Watching Adventure with Free Photos: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vancouver.
How much does Vancouver Sunset Whale Watching Adventure with Free Photos cost?
+
Prices start at $196 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vancouver usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Vancouver Sunset Whale Watching Adventure with Free Photos take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vancouver is not rushed.
Is Vancouver Sunset Whale Watching Adventure with Free Photos worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 494 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Vancouver, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Vancouver Sunset Whale Watching Adventure with Free Photos?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Vancouver Sunset Whale Watching Adventure with Free Photos suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Vancouver Sunset Whale Watching Adventure with Free Photos?
+
Around 173 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vancouver can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vancouver and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Vancouver Sunset Whale Watching Adventure with Free Photos start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vancouver within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Vancouver?
+
On Outty we rank every Vancouver experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Grand Bicycle Tour of Vancouver, The Stanley Park Bicycle Tour, Vancouver City Sightseeing Tour: Capilano Suspension Bridge & Vancouver Lookout. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Vancouver?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Vancouver?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
