A stressful start but an otherwise good tour
This was a good tour with an experienced driver who doubled as the guide. It was a stressful start because we were given the wrong information by the Tour Operator about which lobby of the hotel to be picked up at. In the initial email we were instructed to go to the lower lobby level on Alberni and I even emailed to verify the pick up location a few days before the tour. We arrived at 9:20 for the 9:30 pickup. At 9:45 we started calling when we hadn’t been picked up. Apparently the mini bus is too big to pick up on the lower level but they didn’t tell us about the change & they didn’t go to the lower lobby to retrieve us so they had to come back to pick us up. In the end we were picked up about 10am in the upper lobby. The hotel staff at the Hyatt Downtown Alberni was fantastic & came down to the lower lobby to let us know when the driver showed up at the upper lobby. it was a stressful start to the tour but once we got picked up the tour went well. We received a good overview of Stanley Park dropping off at the Totems for a little free time & restrooms were available there. I had read there would be an optional walking tour at this stop but that was not offered. Next we finished driving through the park where the oldest trees were pointed out & we had nice views over the sea wall & then along scenic English Bay. Then we drove to Granville Island Public Market where we had a brief orientation & were given plenty of time for lunch & walking around. We next drove through Chinatown but did not see the Chinese Garden, We also drove through Gastown & the driver pointed out the steam clock & I was able to get a picture from the bus window. Next we were dropped off at the Lookout where we were escorted ta a fast elevator that took us to the top for great views a little free time. The tour was over at 2:30 & we chose to get dropped off at Canada Place because there is a free shuttle from there to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park which was our next destination for the day. The driver pointed out where that shuttle picks up & told us about a food court on the lower level of the Convention Center where we could grab a bite & use the rest rooms. It was a well organized tour to be able to see so many city highlights in 4.5 hours, especially considering the traffic in Vancouver. Kudos to the driver. There were only about 10 people on our tour on a Thursday in mid July. The minibus looked like it would hold atleast 20 people.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We're sorry for the confusion with the initial pick-up and appreciate your patience while our team worked to resolve it. We're glad the rest of the day went smoothly and you enjoyed seeing so many of Vancouver's highlights. Thank you for choosing Westcoast Sightseeing!

A great introduction to some interesting spots in Vancouver!
Larsen was a fantastic guide and we learned so much in the 4 hours of this tour! We wished we had more time to explore Granville Island but really enjoyed that part of the tour. Same with Stanley Park (where we saw the totems) and also the Vancouver Lookout. We hope to be back again🤞
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed exploring Vancouver and learned so much along the way. Larson will be thrilled to hear your kind words. With so much to discover at Granville Island, Stanley Park, and throughout the city, four hours can certainly fly by! Thank you for choosing Westcoast Sightseeing. We hope you make it back to Vancouver for another visit!

Phenomenal post-cruise tour
Phenomenal post-cruise excursion…picked up directly from the cruise terminal, included luggage storage, and after hitting all the highlights of the city (including stops at the Stanley Park totem poles and an extended lunch break at the amazing Granville Island Public Market), we were dropped off right at the Vancouver Airport. Perfect way to see the highlights of Vancouver while heading back home after the cruise. Can’t say enough good things about Larson, our guide. He was funny and incredibly open about weaving his experiences as a lifelong Vancouver resident into the tour. One of the highlights of our entire trip!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear the post-cruise tour was such a convenient and enjoyable way to explore Vancouver before your flight. Larson will be thrilled to hear your kind words. His humour, local knowledge, and personal stories bring a special perspective to the city, and we're so pleased he made the experience one of the highlights of your trip. Vancouver City Tour, Lookout Deck, & Optional Airport Transfer: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vancouver.
How much does Vancouver City Tour, Lookout Deck, & Optional Airport Transfer cost?
+
Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vancouver usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Vancouver City Tour, Lookout Deck, & Optional Airport Transfer take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vancouver is not rushed.
Is Vancouver City Tour, Lookout Deck, & Optional Airport Transfer worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 244 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vancouver, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Vancouver City Tour, Lookout Deck, & Optional Airport Transfer?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Vancouver City Tour, Lookout Deck, & Optional Airport Transfer suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Vancouver City Tour, Lookout Deck, & Optional Airport Transfer?
+
Around 85 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vancouver can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vancouver and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Vancouver City Tour, Lookout Deck, & Optional Airport Transfer start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vancouver within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Vancouver?
+
On Outty we rank every Vancouver experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Vancouver City Sightseeing Tour: Capilano Suspension Bridge & Vancouver Lookout, Epic Electric Bike Tour of Vancouver, Whistler, Sea to Sky Gondola, & Shannon Falls Tour from Vancouver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Vancouver?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Vancouver?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
