An Unforgettable Day in Valparaíso with Freddy!

Freddy was absolutely amazing! James and I had such a great day in Valparaíso, and honestly, this was my second trip with Freddy, which says a lot about how much I enjoyed the first one. He picked us up right on time and immediately made us feel comfortable. Throughout the day, he shared so much interesting history about Valparaíso without making it feel like a typical tourist tour. We did a walking tour, saw tons of colorful streets and great photo spots, and visited an incredible art gallery with a breathtaking view overlooking the water and the colorful homes of the city. We also stopped at a cute little coffee shop and a beautiful church, and Freddy took us to an amazing restaurant where we had some of the best pisco sours and empanadas of the trip. Everything felt thoughtfully planned, but never rushed. On the way back, we stopped at a beautiful winery and enjoyed an amazing wine flight, which was the perfect way to finish the day. If you're visiting Valparaíso, I highly recommend Pride Tours, and especially Freddy. He genuinely loves what he does, knows the city inside and out, and goes out of his way to make sure you have an incredible experience. The fact that I chose to book with him a second time should tell you everything!

An immersion into the culture and history of Valparaíso.

Enjoyed another perfect tour by Freddy at Pride Tours. I took the Valparaíso Heritage, Art and Queer Culture tour. I added a over night in Valparaíso which gave me some time to immerse myself in the the culture and history of this wonderful city. Freddy provided a walking tour to start, pointing out the historic significance of Valparaíso and the people who settled here. Freddy explained the unique architecture and building supplies that shaped this city. Took the funicular up Cerro Alegre. Stopped in a delightful LGBTQ+ coffee shop. Freddy explained and interpreted the beautiful street art. I truly enjoyed a personalized visit to Rojo Galeria. Lunch at Planta Baja was pure joy. The local fish was delicious. Next on the tour was a drive to Viña Del Mar and Reñaca. Two beautiful Oceanside resort cities. I was grateful to spend a lovely over night in Valparaíso at Casa Higueras. The next morning I enjoyed a visit to Destino Valparaíso Museo del Inmigrante. For my return Jose Tomás (my driver) expertly negotiated the the twists and turns of Valparaíso. I enjoyed a delightful conversation with Jose Tomás on the way back to Santiago. For a truly memorable tour of Valparaíso and the surrounding cities I highly recommend contacting Freddy at Pridetours.com.

    AMAZING Tour of Valparaiso

We did the day long Valparaiso tour and it was really great! Teddy was our tour guide and he took us to many historical sites along with a walk through the small streets lined with art work and murals. The art scene is incredible in this city and Teddy knew all the best places to check out. We also had a delicious lunch in town. I would definitely recommend this tour with Pride Tours.

One of the Best Things I Did in Chile!

This tour is an absolute GEM! It was truly incredible and one of the most meaningful highlights of my trip. Freddy's knowledge of the city’s history, street art, and LGBTQ+ culture was impressive, but what really set the tour apart were the personal touches he added throughout. Freddy shared stories, context, and local insight in a way that made everything feel alive and deeply connected to the community. We also met with locals. It never felt like a "scripted" tour, and we explored Valapriaso with a passionate, thoughtful local who genuinely cares. I can’t recommend this tour with Freddy highly enough.

    Fantastic Experience

I did the Valparaiso tour w Freddy and Ivan. These guys are the best I had such a wonderful time with them. Friendly and welcoming right from the start. Loved getting to know them both throughout the day. They were v flexible and accommodating with what I was interested in seeing and doing. I had limited time in Santiago but if I was there longer I would have done more tours with them. Can’t say enough good things, highly recommended. Hope to see you guys again take care!

Response from the operator: We're very happy you enjoyed your activity and also grateful for selecting us to show you the sites. All the best!

Valparaíso: Heritage, Art & Queer Culture Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santiago.

How much does Valparaíso: Heritage, Art & Queer Culture Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $160 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santiago usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Valparaíso: Heritage, Art & Queer Culture Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santiago is not rushed.

Is Valparaíso: Heritage, Art & Queer Culture Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santiago, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Valparaíso: Heritage, Art & Queer Culture Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Valparaíso: Heritage, Art & Queer Culture Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Valparaíso: Heritage, Art & Queer Culture Tour?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santiago can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santiago and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Valparaíso: Heritage, Art & Queer Culture Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santiago within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santiago?

    +

On Outty we rank every Santiago experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Maipo Valley Wine Region: 4 Wineries, Tastings & Foodie Tour, Valparaiso Port and Viña del Mar with Casablanca Wine Tasting, Tour to Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Pablo Neruda Museum and Vineyard. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santiago?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santiago?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Valparaíso: Heritage, Art & Queer Culture Tour?

    +

Included: Elevator Tickets; Transportation; and Guide. Not included: Lunch or any Meal; and Tips. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Does Valparaíso: Heritage, Art & Queer Culture Tour include hotel pickup?

    +

What languages is Valparaíso: Heritage, Art & Queer Culture Tour offered in?
