I'm satisfied.

I had a good time with the friendly guide. After the commentary, we had time to watch it ourselves. I was grateful to get on the cart and move. We needed Egyptian pounds to ride the cart, but we only had dollars, so our guide changed it up. I returned it later in dollars. They also saw my souvenir scarf with me. Thank you very much.

Great and respectful driver!

One of the best experiences that I had with driver and guiding companies in Egypt. The first Day the driver picked us up in Aswan and drove to Luxor for our new hotel. The day after we did the a tour in the valley of the kings with only the driver, he braught us to the locations we wanted and wait at the entrances for us (kings, temples, carter house...) and was one of the most respectful man i have seen in Egypt (he gaves us all the time we wanted). Great guy, good driver, speaks english and has respect for his clients! Thank you for the amazing tour!

Good

Mohammed arranged a vehicle for us for the day to go around the valley of kings. Nice vehicle and a respectful driver. Great day, communication was good. Took us to the alabaster museum too, I liked an item but it was clear I was being ripped off since I’ve grown up visiting family in Asia. The guy came down 500EGP from the original price once I started to walk away. I found that disrespectful therefore a purchase was out of the question. Left empty handed. Hire was for 8hrs but we came back earlier. Try to ask for more money to visit another location within our 8hr time frame, no surprise there. We visited the additional location and gave extra for tip on top of the agreed price. Over all, we were happy:)

Response from the operator: Hello dear N4335B, Thank you for your kind review and we would appreciate that very much. Glad to hearing you were happy, with Real Life Egypt. Really hope to see you again, in Egypt.

The very best way to see the sights in Egypt

We did a total of 4 guided tours with Real Life Egypt Tours, A Day tour at Aswan (including the Big Damn, the Philae Temple, and the unfinished Obelisk), and a tour specially arranged for us on a drive from Aswan to Luxor to see Kom Obu and Edfu. When we arrived in Luxor, Real Life Egypt Tours (Mohamed) arranged two separate guided tours with car (A/C) and driver and a great guide - one of the West Bank (which included the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossus at Memnon) and the next Day the East back tour (which included Karnak and Luxor temples). These tours were very reasonably priced and very well organized and a wonderful and please way to see the sights. Mohamed also arranged all of our transfers to and from the airports and his drivers and guides (Mary in Aswan and Amer in Luxor) were just fantastic. One on the big things that made it all so easy was that Mohamed at Real Life Egypt Tours is such a good communicator, so well organized, and everything was very well organized in a timely way. Thanks for such an amazing experience Mohamed!!! You folks totally rock!!

Excellent service

I found Mr Mohammed Helal’s details on TripAdvisor and he was very helpful. He tried his best to arrange tours to best suit our travel in Cairo and Luxor On our tour to Luxor, Mr Helal has arranged a private mininbus and guide for 3 of us. They picked us up at 6am , and spent an entire day touring. We had a wonderful visit to the east and West Bank of Luxor. George our tour guide, was fantastic. Great depth of knowledge. Full of information..... did not rush us at any site. Warned us of things to becareful of, such as the haggling by vendors and some tourist traps. Mr Helal met us after lunch, he personally took us thru the souk, we drank tea with the locals, even found a clean toilet for us to use, helped us get forex. Extremely hospitable and accommodating person. If I can fault anything, George offered us lunch options, we took the option for $15 pp, we felt this was not worth the price at all and did not enjoy it. Besides that it has been an absolute pleasure to have used Mr Helal to arrange our tour. He tried his very best to ensure we were happy and enjoying our holiday. I will highly recommend me Mohammed Helal to family and friends.

Valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatshepsut: Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Luxor.

How much does Valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatshepsut: Private Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Luxor usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatshepsut: Private Tour take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Luxor is not rushed.

Is Valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatshepsut: Private Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Luxor, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatshepsut: Private Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatshepsut: Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatshepsut: Private Tour?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Luxor can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Luxor and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatshepsut: Private Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Luxor within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Luxor?

+

On Outty we rank every Luxor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Tour of Luxor West Bank Temples and Tombs (Private), Luxury Sunrise Balloon Ride in Luxor with Hotel Pickup, Luxor Day Tour: Valley of Kings & Queens & Hatchepsut Temples. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Luxor?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Luxor?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
