    Another Great Excursion from Maxtour.

Early start and a late finish, pickup and drop off at your accommodation. The mini van has comfortable seating and great air conditioning. Your guide also has plenty of water, sodas, and snacks on board for the day ahead. Today’s guide was Josiah, à good communicator with a great knowledge of the places we would visit today. First up was Valley of Fire State Park. We traveled through the park to certain locations where we had ample photo opportunities and 2 short hikes, the weather was really hot so umbrellas were also provided to hide us from the sun. The rock formations are amazing, nothing like I’d seen before. À must visit. Then back to Vegas for a sandwich lunch, then onto the iconic Hoover Dam. We went to a couple of different spots for photos while Josiah told us about the history of the dam. Definitely the highlight of the trip for me, this place is awesome. This was our 3rd excursion with Maxtours, the guides are fantastic and the places you visit are all bucket list, I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Response from the operator: Thank you for another wonderful review and for choosing to travel with MaxTour for a third time! We're especially happy to hear how much you enjoyed Valley of Fire State Park. The reason we launched this tour is easy to see - Valley of Fire is one of the most visually spectacular places in the Southwest, with its brilliant red sandstone formations, sweeping desert vistas, and landscapes that seem almost otherworldly. It's a destination that continually surprises our guests, and we're thrilled that it left such a strong impression on you. We're also glad you enjoyed the comfort of the tour, from the complimentary snacks and drinks to the air-conditioned vehicle and thoughtfully planned stops throughout the day. Josiah loves sharing the stories behind the places we visit, but it's the stunning scenery itself that often steals the show on this particular adventure. Thank you again for your continued support and recommendation. There's no greater compliment than welcoming guests back for a second and third tour, and we look forward to showing you even more bucket-list destinations in the future!

    Repeat Customers of Max Tour

We are repeat customers of Max tour and the second time around did not disappoint! A quick informational tour across the top of the Hoover Dam, and then onto the Valley of Fire! Hiking the Fire Wave and the White Dome trails were the highlight with our amazing tour guide Scott!!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for coming back to tour with us again - we love hearing from our repeat guests! It’s great to know this trip lived up to your first experience with MaxTour, and that you enjoyed both the Hoover Dam stop and the incredible landscapes at Valley of Fire. The Fire Wave trail really is a showstopper, and with other fun stops in the park like the Beehives and Elephant Rock, it’s tough to beat the scenery on this tour. Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam Day Trip from Las Vegas: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Las Vegas.

How much does Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam Day Trip from Las Vegas cost?

    +

Prices start at $149 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Las Vegas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam Day Trip from Las Vegas take?

    +

Plan for about 9.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Las Vegas is not rushed.

Is Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam Day Trip from Las Vegas worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Las Vegas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam Day Trip from Las Vegas?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam Day Trip from Las Vegas suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam Day Trip from Las Vegas?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Las Vegas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Las Vegas and add a light layer if any part of the 9.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam Day Trip from Las Vegas start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Las Vegas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Las Vegas?

    +

Las Vegas sells two trips at once: the Strip after dark, and the red-rock desert that starts twenty minutes past the last casino. Helicopter runs to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam half-days and Red Rock Canyon drives all leave early, while show tickets, speakeasy crawls and high-roller dining fill the evening. Outty Ranking weighs operator reliability heavily here, because the gap between a well-run desert tour and a coach-and-queue version is enormous. On Outty we rank every Las Vegas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group: Valley of Fire Half Day Tour from Las Vegas, Small Group Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, 7 Magic Mountains VIP Tour, Grand Canyon West, Hoover Dam Stop, Breakfast, Lunch & Skywalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Las Vegas?

    +

October to April. Summer highs above 105F make midday outdoor tours punishing. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Las Vegas?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
