Maybe worth going with a few changes

The driver was nice but he did not give us any information at all when travelling between places. The first winery was nice and the wine very good. No food was served. Lunch was in a preset town but was awful and took far too long to get. When had 15 of free time to walk around the town. I would suggest skipping the lunch and buying something in the town instead. The next stop was interesting and we would have enjoyed it had we had more time as we wanted to have time to visit the town. Not the fault of the winery though. They had great food out but unfortunately we had ruined our appetite from the awful lunch. All in all the places we visited were nice- would have been nice to have a knowledgeable driver and we knew not to get the prearranged lunch. I have had way better on other tours.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that some aspects of the experience did not meet your expectations. We have spoken with your driver, who confirmed that he did provide information about the areas and wineries visited. However, we'd like to point out that our drivers are not licensed tour guides, so they are not permitted to provide detailed historical or cultural commentary, as this falls outside their role. Regarding the restaurant, we are truly sorry to hear about your experience. It is one of our long-standing partners, and we have never previously received this type of feedback. We will certainly discuss your comments with them, as maintaining a high standard of quality is very important to us. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving our experiences.

    We had a wonderful...

We had a wonderful experience! Our driver was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He was training a new driver who was also kind. We were the only two guests on the tour because it’s the slow season, so we were quite lucky! Highly recommend. The food and wine were plentiful and delicious!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted you enjoyed the experience, from the beautiful scenery to the food and wine. It's great to hear our driver made your day even more enjoyable with his knowledge and friendliness. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Italy soon!

Wonderful experience, ask for Luca to be your driver, he was amazing

This was an amazing tour of some of Tuscany’s country side. Our guide Luca was amazing, he shared a lot of history and fun facts, he walked with us and was our guide in the towns, very attentive and nice. The places we visited were beautiful. The tour guides were very engaging, knowledgeable, and nice. The wine was superb at both places and lunch was fantastic and with a great view. The service we got everywhere was excellent. Highly recommended!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your fantastic review! We're thrilled you enjoyed Tuscany's beautiful countryside, the wineries, and the lunch with its stunning view. Luca will be delighted to hear your kind words—we'll be sure to share them with him. Thank you for recommending us, and we hope to welcome you back to Italy for another unforgettable experience!

Val d'Orcia Brunello Wine Tour with Montalcino and Montepulciano: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Val d'Orcia Brunello Wine Tour with Montalcino and Montepulciano cost?

    +

Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Val d'Orcia Brunello Wine Tour with Montalcino and Montepulciano take?

    +

Plan for about 10.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Val d'Orcia Brunello Wine Tour with Montalcino and Montepulciano worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 400 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Val d'Orcia Brunello Wine Tour with Montalcino and Montepulciano?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Val d'Orcia Brunello Wine Tour with Montalcino and Montepulciano suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Val d'Orcia Brunello Wine Tour with Montalcino and Montepulciano?

    +

Around 140 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 10.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Val d'Orcia Brunello Wine Tour with Montalcino and Montepulciano start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
