Rome Sorrento and Pompeii!
Big day with little adventures on the way to Pompei- sight seeing and lunch at the picturesque Sorrento followed by the amazing preserve and historic Pompeii excavation. Great guide and a solid day to tire out the teen kids!!

Pompeii with Detours
The detour to Sorrento wasn't helpful as this added on hours but not enough to explore Sorrento, just enough to see around the trailer park. Other than that the Driver was good, and guide knowledgeable.

Good as a Pompei visit but don’t expect to see much in Sorrento
I was adamant booking this trip because of the “Limoncello Testing” but the family said “it’s OK, we will get to see more places afterwards, so we booked it. The tour was structured the way that you spend mandatory 30 minutes break on the way to Sorrento at some hotel restaurant with washrooms in the morning and then have another 1.5 hours drive to Sorrento. The “Limoncello Testing “ stop took around 20-30 minutes and it is just a manufacturing facility with a corridor with glass windows to see (but no pictures) how the liquor gets mixed and packed. Nothing fancy. Then you’re left in a souvenir shop with overpriced items where you can get 10-20ml cups with the liquor. Nothing like a show-and-tell about the process or anything interesting. Just a 3-minutes stroll through the corridor (the factory wasn’t working the day we were there (Wednesday) and you’re left to buy souvenirs or sit outside. This is all you get and this what costs you 30 minutes of time that could have been spent exploring Sorrento. The time allocated to have lunch and explore Sorrento was 80 minutes. This was exactly time we spent to wait for the food and finish it in the restaurant suggested by the guide (60 minutes) plus 20 minutes left for the “city exploration”. Taking into account that the bus parking is 5-10 minutes walk from the town centre you don’t see anything in 20 minutes. If you add 30 minutes wasted at the Limoncello place, it would be enough to see a little bit of this beautiful town. The bottom line is: find a tour that doesn’t waste your time on such “experience” and lets you enjoy what’s worth visiting. On the bright side, the guide, Andrea, was great, the Pompei local guide Fabian (if not mistaken) is an archeologist and, literally, a walking encyclopedia. The bus was clean and comfortable. Hence 4 stars, not less.

Pompeii tour
Interesting tour with explanations about the architecture, everyday life in Pompeii, and the use of the historic buildings and tools. We learned something new, and the kids got an insight into what the city looked like. I would have preferred to skip the limoncello factory and spend more time in Sorrento instead.
