Couldn't be happier
This is a great tour! The pickup was on time. The guide was fantastic - would answer any questions you had even not related to the tour! Her English was very good and she helped everyone order lunch which was so yummy! Both markets were super interesting and the guide told you how much you were expected to pay for some things to help you bargain with the people on the market. We even got to go on the railway market train which was a very unique experience! We were back in Bangkok at the time she stated at the start of the day. Couldn't be happier with this experience.

Best Tour with Best Guide - Jenny
The tour was amazing and Jenny was even more amazing! Best tour guide ever! I highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Bangkok. If possible request Jenny by name. What you see is exactly what you get. I also recommend having some money on hand so that you can support the sellers at the floating market and at the train market. Please also listen to the instructions you get at the train market. A lot of tourists we're standing in the way of the train just to get a selfie at such a dangerous time.

Maeklong and Damnoensaduak market day out
Good tour showing daily life of the market on water and very interesting how the railway market packs up and unpacks just before the train arrives. Our guide Meow was informative and entertaining.
Response from the operator: Your review is greatly appreciated! We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed all that our property has to offer. We hope to welcome you back very soon!

A Must to experience
If in the area, you must visit just for the experience! Beware of the smell - it is one of the worst I have experienced and I have been in post hurricane areas with rotting animals for ten days. Go for the experience - it is quite a thing. Bought a shirt from a vendor and he was friendly and zero pressure to buy. Loved that.
Response from the operator: Dear customer thanks for your review . We acknowledge you for writing to us. This is a floating market tour so you may have to see a lot of water bodies during the tour . Any way thanks for booking with us . Hope it was a great experience for you . Thanks for opting our services.

Very Poor
We booked for the railway market and the floating market only. Very disappointed to discover that we would be taken to a place where animals such as tigers and elephants are mistreated for 'entertainment'. This was not what we signed up for, and I feel betrayed in that inadvertently 'legitimised' said mistreatment of the animals by my presence at that place. I strongly protest against such unadvised add-ons to the tour as booked, and will reconsider my use of TripAdvisor in the future, at the least I will be doing more research. However, I would like to add that Nok, our tour guide did a good job. Robert C Barker

Why this scores 41
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Unique Bangkok Markets: Train Market & Floating Market Adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.
How much does Unique Bangkok Markets: Train Market & Floating Market Adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $1282 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Unique Bangkok Markets: Train Market & Floating Market Adventure take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.
Is Unique Bangkok Markets: Train Market & Floating Market Adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 41 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Unique Bangkok Markets: Train Market & Floating Market Adventure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Unique Bangkok Markets: Train Market & Floating Market Adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Unique Bangkok Markets: Train Market & Floating Market Adventure?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Unique Bangkok Markets: Train Market & Floating Market Adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bangkok?
+
On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bangkok?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bangkok?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
