Novy Bor
Take our invitation to the world's best hot shops and glass cutters workshops. The trip is suitable also for seniors or large guys. No longer walking demanded. Visit the workshop of master Jiri Pacinek where the glass sculptures for the Netflix movie Glass Onion were made. In the second half of the 17th century, crystal-clear glass began to be melted on Czech territory, which by its clarity, radiance and hardness was suitable for engraving and grinding. Bohemian crystal became so demanded in the world that in the first half of the 18th century Bohemia became the most important exporter of glass in the world.

The Novotny Glass Museum offers a collection of modern glass art. The exhibition consists mainly of the private collection of a world known glass master and the owner of the museum Petr Novotný. Here you can find works of leading Czech glass designers such as René and Miluše Roubíček, J. Šuhájek, Bořek Šípek. Among the foreign artists we can name D. Chihuly /US/, J. Mongrain /US/ or M. An excellent tour of Bohemian Glass & Crystals with a very knowledgable Geologist Guide Pavel
This was a wonderful trip overall. The places we visited included Novotny Glass, we went to the Crystal Temple which is an incredible church that was never decommissioned and restored by the most famous glass maker Pitcinik. We also visited Pitcinik glass and the lovely glass garden. Then we went to a cold shop and visited Filip who is so talented. Our lunch was incredible and had a selection of local exquisite dishes and beer or wine. We also enjoyed our guide Pavel who was incredible and very kind hearted and a lovely knowledgeable man. He would be the best guide we have had in our tours so far! Overall the best trip
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled you enjoyed the tour, the incredible glassmakers, and of course, the lunch. Pavel will be so happy to hear your kind words—he truly loves what he does. We’re honored to have been your host!☺️

Exploring Czech Glass in The Crystal Valley
This tour was definitely the highlight of our stay in the Czechia! During the scenic drive from Prague to the renowned Novotný Glass Studio located in Nový Bor, we had the pleasure to listen to Pavel, our wonderful guide who shared with us his extensive knowledge on Czech language, history and people. Watching the glassmakers of Novotný at work next to the furnaces with molten glass was very instructive and made us appreciate even more the beauty of the amazing objects displayed in the adjacent glass museum. Our visit of the studio of famous glass artist Jiři Pačinek in Kunratice u Cvikova was another wonderful experience, especially thanks to knowledgeable and enthusiastic Andrea. And so was the tour of the Crystal Temple in the same town, a beautiful ancient church adorned with splendid glass creations by Pačinek. Last but not least, we met the young glass artist and craftsman Filip Lukavec, who creates exquisite objects with much inspiration and artistry. What a delightful day!
Response from the operator: Hello dear Patrice, thank you for the great review. Pavel is truly a top guide; having lived and grown up in the USA, he is a native speaker of both English and Czech. And yes, the best time is spent watching glassmakers and hearing their stories. I will let all our friends know what you mentioned about your experience. Thank you very much and best regards, Martin

A wonderfull trip
This tour was great and we’ve seen a lot of fascinating new things as the whole process of glass making, very beautiful equipment made of glass, also very amazing countryside - up and down rolling hills, forrests - totaly different from most tours visiting only the big overcrowded cities! We fully recommend to try this one. Our tour guide was Martin - he was great 🙂
Response from the operator: Thank you for the nice recommendation. Yes, watching glassmakers at work is truly an experience that must be witnessed. Seeing how artistic glass is created on the blowpipe is magical, especially in our hilly landscape with sandstone towers. Thank you, and I look forward to another trip with you. Best regards, Martin

UNESCO Private Bohemian Crystal & Glass Tour, Lunch+Local Beer: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Prague.
How much does UNESCO Private Bohemian Crystal & Glass Tour, Lunch+Local Beer cost?
+
Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Prague usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does UNESCO Private Bohemian Crystal & Glass Tour, Lunch+Local Beer take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Prague is not rushed.
Is UNESCO Private Bohemian Crystal & Glass Tour, Lunch+Local Beer worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Prague, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule UNESCO Private Bohemian Crystal & Glass Tour, Lunch+Local Beer?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is UNESCO Private Bohemian Crystal & Glass Tour, Lunch+Local Beer suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book UNESCO Private Bohemian Crystal & Glass Tour, Lunch+Local Beer?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Prague can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Prague and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does UNESCO Private Bohemian Crystal & Glass Tour, Lunch+Local Beer start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Prague within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Prague?
+
On Outty we rank every Prague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Reviews: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip From Prague, Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland From Prague-Travelers' Choice 2026, 3-hour Complete Prague Bike Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Prague?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Prague?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
