Fantastic experience despite hot weather
I embarked on a solo adventure and opted for the Luxor West Bank full-day tour, guided by Alaaedine and Mubarak, with Taher as our driver. It was an exceptional tour that I wholeheartedly recommend. Despite the scorching weather, I managed to explore all the tombs on my wishlist. The guides efficiently handled all entry tickets, ensuring a hassle-free experience. What made this tour even more special was that I had it all to myself. The guides thoughtfully planned the order of our site visits to beat the crowds and maximize our time. This made my visits more immersive and enjoyable. The tour wrapped up slightly earlier than scheduled, leaving me with about four hours to spare at the airport. Thanks to our excellent driver and the comfort of an air-conditioned car, the wait was a breeze. We had lunch a bit later in the day after visiting all the sites, so I'd recommend bringing some snacks if needed. Overall, it was a fantastic experience

Very memorable and flexible, but with room for improvement :)
The tour guide managed to fit in a lot of historical sites and information into one day, which was impressive. Though the original programme was to visit 5 sites, Valley of Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, we also ended up visiting Valley of Queens for an additional $5 per person, at our request. Though the tour was something I will never forget, and the tour guide shared very enlightening information about these historical sites, I would have liked for her to be with us more, reduce time spent on the phone, and use opportunities in between sites to share information about the history of Luxor in general or current relevant information about Egypt, for example. The other thing I would suggest is to be careful about miscommunication. When we were first considering whether to add the sixth site to our itinerary, we asked about the price and were informed the tomb of Queen Neferati was 1040 EGP per person but it turned out being 1400 EGP, which is a big difference, especially for 2 people. If we had known this, we would probably have decided to skip that one and stick to the original itinerary, being low on cash as it were. But overall, I would still very much recommend this tour because of the sheer volume of historical sites that you get to see in one day for a reasonable price and the flexibility of the guide and company to suit the tour to your needs and interests. Not to mention, initially I had booked this tour for the wrong date and the manager of was nice enough to change the date without any hassle! Thanks for this memorable experience! :)

Ultimate Luxor Experience: Guided Tour with Lunch, Temples& Tombs: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Luxor.
How much does Ultimate Luxor Experience: Guided Tour with Lunch, Temples& Tombs cost?
+
Prices start at $19 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Luxor usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ultimate Luxor Experience: Guided Tour with Lunch, Temples& Tombs take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Luxor is not rushed.
Is Ultimate Luxor Experience: Guided Tour with Lunch, Temples& Tombs worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Luxor, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ultimate Luxor Experience: Guided Tour with Lunch, Temples& Tombs?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Ultimate Luxor Experience: Guided Tour with Lunch, Temples& Tombs suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Ultimate Luxor Experience: Guided Tour with Lunch, Temples& Tombs?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Luxor can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Luxor and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ultimate Luxor Experience: Guided Tour with Lunch, Temples& Tombs start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Luxor within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Luxor?
+
On Outty we rank every Luxor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Tour of Luxor West Bank Temples and Tombs (Private), Luxury Sunrise Balloon Ride in Luxor with Hotel Pickup, Luxor Day Tour: Valley of Kings & Queens & Hatchepsut Temples. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Luxor?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Luxor?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
