Fabulous Adventure!

I am a 72 year old woman who can get vertigo in high places. Allan was a fabulous and patient guide. I felt safe the entire time. He made sure that I wasn't rushed. The whole experience was an exciting adventure. I highly recommend this company.

Great experience!

I did this adventure with my son (18 years old) and we both had an amazing adventure! What a beautiful and impressive nature, overwhelming and quiet. During our canyoning tour we saw only a view hikers along the route. And what a professional, very nice and safe guiding! We liked everything, the exciting raps, slidings, passing the river, walking through the rainforest and the blue color of the water. Thanks DROPS Canyoning for a very unique and exciting day in our Costa Rica trip! Pura Vida Monique & Morris (the Netherlands)

Canyoning with kids

Drops canyoning was our favorite excursion in Costa Rica. We are a family of 2 adults and 4 kids ages 8,7,7,5. I was initially skeptical about taking my kids canyoning, but after extensive research, we decided on the gata media (blue falls) tour. The communication with the company was seamless, and they worked with us to curate the perfect adventure that we were comfortable with. I chose this specific canyoning tour over the ones in La fortuna because of the beautiful off the grid location of the blue falls. It is an authentic adventure. There are no lines, no platforms, it does not feel like a field trip. We started with a short hike through the jungle which was amazing and untouched. Then proceeded with 2 rappels, swimming, and water slides. The experience was out of this world. The guides were fantastic with the kids. We all felt completely safe and unrushed throughout the process. The owner works for the Red Cross, and they participate in many rescues in the area. A major perk of exploring the blue falls with this company is the wet suits that they provide. The water is cold, and I don’t believe we would have enjoyed the area nearly as much without the warmth of the suits. It was a memorable experience that my kids are still raving about. I highly recommend this company. Oh and the pictures and videos they provide are professional quality for no additional cost! We found a true gem with this company and can’t wait to visit again

MAGICAL, adventure, beautiful, SURREAL!

PHENOMENAL. From start to finish. I signed up my family of 5 for this experience with only a few pictures for reference. I cannot express my GRATITUDE for this team. We felt like we were in the presence of family. PATIENT, positive, peaceful, and EXPERIENCED. They made my family feel safe every step of the way. From the jungle trek to the launching, we were in awe of the splendor of this experience. We are eternally grateful that they took their time to give us instructions until we felt confident. They gave us peace of mind to ask every questions and take our time. Some of us did great, some not so much....but they treated us all with the utmost care and kindness. I cannot imagine doing this with anyone else. The album they made and sent us was the icing on the cake. What beautiful pictures. They captured the moments and more. They knew we were seeing this for the first time and helped us take it all in. It was MAGICAL. We cannot wait to return to continue exploring all the possibilities. 10/10 recommend!!!💯🩵💚🧡🫶

DROPS CANYONING - the best thing to do in Costa Rica!

This was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had! It was thrilling, fun, FUNNY, crazy, peaceful, spiritual… there just are not words. They took such good care of me and my friend. We felt safe, did things we never thought we would do, saw things we never imagined we’d see, and had an experience that we wont only remember forever, but that has truly changed us for the better! DROPS CANYONING IS PROFESSIONAL AND THE MOST FUN! 🩵🩵🩵

Ultimate Blue Falls Canyoning Adventure: 4 Rappels & Hidden Pools: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for La Fortuna.

How much does Ultimate Blue Falls Canyoning Adventure: 4 Rappels & Hidden Pools cost?

+

Prices start at $255 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in La Fortuna usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ultimate Blue Falls Canyoning Adventure: 4 Rappels & Hidden Pools take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in La Fortuna is not rushed.

Is Ultimate Blue Falls Canyoning Adventure: 4 Rappels & Hidden Pools worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in La Fortuna, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ultimate Blue Falls Canyoning Adventure: 4 Rappels & Hidden Pools?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ultimate Blue Falls Canyoning Adventure: 4 Rappels & Hidden Pools suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Ultimate Blue Falls Canyoning Adventure: 4 Rappels & Hidden Pools?

+

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in La Fortuna can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in La Fortuna and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ultimate Blue Falls Canyoning Adventure: 4 Rappels & Hidden Pools start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central La Fortuna within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in La Fortuna?

+

On Outty we rank every La Fortuna experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Upper Balsa River White Water Rafting Class 3/4 in Costa Rica, White Water Rafting Class II and III, North Fields Cafe: Craft Specialty Coffee and Chocolate Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit La Fortuna?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in La Fortuna?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
