    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fun experience and memorable

Starting with a welcoming smile and walking us into their complex with open arms. The complex was clean, tidy, and organised with a touch of tradition as we sat on weaved mats to create our art. We chose our designs and they spent time explaining the various tools to use and various techniques. We are a family of 4 and had two instructors guide us through the process. They were patient and kind explaining step by step as we made our way through the wood design. They were personable and completely present during the entire visit which lasted almost 3 hours. They provided snack biscuits and complimentary bottles of water . As we were all at different levels of confidence , they continued to personally guide us through without hesitation and were so patient. To complete our wood craft , we were given a choice of stains to coat our wood pieces. We had such an amazing experience and learnt a lot in minimal time. On completion we asked if there was a good place to eat and they recommended an amazing restaurant just a 5 min walk away. They even took us there by motor bike and we rang on our completion of lunch and they returned to pick us up and took us back to their location where we retrieved our dry wood carving. As it needed to dry after staining. We will definitely be returning to do the Batic art. I would give 5 stars but it is only allowing me to give 4 stars , maybe because this is only my second review. 🤩⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice activity but lack of choice

Interesting workshop and welcoming staff, but a shame not to have as many choices of motives as are visible in TripAdvisor photos. The workshop also takes less time than written on the announcement.

    Amazing experience

Amazing. Ajus was highly competent and personable. He had a lot of patience with me. I was able to ask as many questions as I wanted, and he encouraged conversation during our 4 hours of solid work! Well worth the experience.

    Great experience

Wonderful experience where you can really lend your own hand and work out your own piece with support and many explanations. At the beginning you can choose from already aligned wooden rings - a completely free selection is not possible, because the rings are already aligned . But that didn't hurt the pleasure. For me it was important to be able to try it out for myself and feel how it works and that worked. I was really well taken care of and I would definitely come back here when I am in Bali again.

Ubud Wood Carving Experience: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.

How much does Ubud Wood Carving Experience cost?

    +

Prices start at $24 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ubud Wood Carving Experience take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.

Is Ubud Wood Carving Experience worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ubud Wood Carving Experience?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ubud Wood Carving Experience suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ubud Wood Carving Experience?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ubud Wood Carving Experience start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ubud?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ubud?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ubud?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
