Great afternoon cooking adventure
Picked up in time in Ubud. A short drive up the mountain to the kitchen. Very well presented. Ketut was funny, engaging and knowledgeable in his craft. All the staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. Food was very tasty, can’t wait to cook it at home. Would definitely recommend.

MORE THAN A COOKING CLASS!
KETUT’S BALI COOKING CLASS WAS A REAL HOOT OF A TIME! We learnt how to cook: 1: Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce, 2: Balinese Chicken Curry, 3: Grilled Fish in a Banana Leaf, 4: Delicious Mie Goreng & 5: Braised Banana Saba (In Palm Sugar Gravy). It was great learning each recipe in detail and it all tasted delicious. But the best part by far was the warmth and hospitality from Ketut and his team. We felt so welcomed and thoroughly embraced. Ketut is so infectious in the best possible way - his laugh and love of cooking and life is next level - we had the best time, thank you so much for having us @ketutsbalicookingclass

Fun family cooking class
Amazing! Ketut is hilarious, my children (age 7&10) giggled all of the way through his class. Very informative, excellent cooking and the final recipes tasted delicious. I would highly recommend to anyone with children, or for couples! 10/10! Thank you 🥰

Fantastic experience from start to finish!
Ketut’s Bali Cooking Class was one of the highlights of our trip to Ubud. Made was an exceptional instructor - friendly, knowledgeable, and made the class fun for everyone. The food was incredible, the recipes were easy to follow, and we loved that we could take them home to recreate. If you’re looking for an authentic Balinese experience, I can’t recommend this class enough!

Great balinese cooking experience
The cooking experience with Ketut was great, we had a lot of fun cooking and learning about the ingredients of traditional balinese cuisine. We chose the afternoon option so we didn’t go to the market. At the end of the activity we ate everything for dinner, and it was delicious. Really glad we got to spend some time there, everyone in Ketut’s team was very kind and welcoming. We would recommend 100%

Why this scores 83
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Ubud Cooking Class Bali with Balinese Chef: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.
How much does Ubud Cooking Class Bali with Balinese Chef cost?
+
Prices start at $36 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ubud Cooking Class Bali with Balinese Chef take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.
Is Ubud Cooking Class Bali with Balinese Chef worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 1,643 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ubud Cooking Class Bali with Balinese Chef?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Ubud Cooking Class Bali with Balinese Chef suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Ubud Cooking Class Bali with Balinese Chef?
+
Around 575 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ubud Cooking Class Bali with Balinese Chef start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ubud?
+
On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ubud?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ubud?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
