    Had the best time

Excellent, easy, step-by-step lesson. Made chicken bumbu Bali curry, chicken satay, wrapped fish in banana leaf & mee goreng. All from scratch. We went to the market. We made our own Bali pastes from chopping to pounding the traditional way. Super fun and informative on the ingredients and spices. Amazing atmosphere, amazing staff. All very friendly and helpful.

Response from the operator: Hi there, Thank you for the awesome review! We're thrilled you had a great experience. Your support means a lot to us. Best Regards, Putu

    Excellent!

Excellent activity, service, and hospitality. You start by visiting the local market, where everything is explained in detail. Then you go to their home, where they tell you about Balinese life, religion, and daily offerings. You even get to prepare a traditional offering and take part in a short prayer. After that, you begin cooking a very complete menu full of amazing flavors. At the end, they even share the recipes with you. Highly recommended!

    I had a great time

I would definitely recommend this cooking class! After a walk around the market, including an explanation of all the herbs and spices, we got started with preparing 10(!) courses. The explanation during cooking was very easy to follow and the food was really fantastic! In addition, booking this cooking class was super quick and easy, which is also a big plus in my opinion and being picked up at my hostel was super convenient. I will definitely come back here on my next trip to Bali.

    A wonderful experience

Both at the market and the rice paddies! We had a great time: at the market, the guide described all the ingredients and spices we needed, and recommended where to get them! The visit to the rice paddy was helpful in understanding their way of making rice: very interesting and different from Italy! The best part? Discovering and hearing about the typical Balinese house, where we also cooked: an experience not to be missed, authentic and prepared down to the smallest detail! I recommend everyone to try it.

Ubud Balinese Cooking Class with Rice Field and Market Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.

How much does Ubud Balinese Cooking Class with Rice Field and Market Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at Rp 330,900 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ubud Balinese Cooking Class with Rice Field and Market Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.

Is Ubud Balinese Cooking Class with Rice Field and Market Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ubud Balinese Cooking Class with Rice Field and Market Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ubud Balinese Cooking Class with Rice Field and Market Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ubud Balinese Cooking Class with Rice Field and Market Tour?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ubud Balinese Cooking Class with Rice Field and Market Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ubud?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private 1-Day Ubud Highlights Tour, Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking (Private Tour and Breakfast at Restaurant). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ubud?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ubud?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
