Two wonderful days in the Mekong Delta

Our two-day bike tour in the Mekong Delta was an all-round successful experience! Lee was an extremely professional, considerate and at the same time funny guide. With a lot of commitment and expertise, he introduced us to this special part of Vietnam and provided exciting insights into history, everyday life and culture - in excellent English! The landscapes were beautiful: lush orchards, idyllic waterways and narrow but mostly well-developed bike paths far from the busy traffic. It was particularly positive that busy roads were avoided almost continuously, so we could enjoy the tour relaxed and safely. We stayed in a homestay. There we were allowed to take part in a short cooking class together with the hostess Thy – a wonderful opportunity to get to know the local cuisine even better. The varied program of kayaking and boat tours as well as visiting local markets also made the trip particularly authentic. We were completely satisfied – not least with the excellent food and the pleasant coffee and break stops. We especially liked the fact that the tour supports the local population and you get a real insight into the life and food culture in the Mekong Delta. The price is slightly higher than other tours, but in our opinion it is fully justified, as the Mekong Delta can be experienced actively, authentically and off the usual tourist trails. Thanks for the great two days!

Response from the operator: Dear Friends, Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and we’re delighted to hear that you had such a great time. Your kind words mean a lot to us and motivate our team to keep delivering memorable experiences. All the best from Vietnam. Countryside Adventures Team.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ho Chi Minh City?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ho Chi Minh City?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
