Magical Mumbai two-day tour.
We had two days of excellent tour guides and interesting tours. The first day we were picked up at our hotel, then met our guide, Gotham. His English was excellent and he was a good, experienced guide. The ferry ride to Elephanta caves was took about an hour and there wasn’t much too see because there was a lot of smog, so it was rather boring. We met another guide, Tikal, a local expert on the cave. He had a wealth of information and was very passionate about every statue in the cave and every myth it represented. The ferry ride back was another long hour. Gotham took us to the Gandhi museum which was small, but informative—we’ll have to go home and watch the movie. We toured a fruit and spice market and Dobi Ghat—the open air laundry, which was fascinating. On day two our driver, Sultan, picked us up at our hotel, then we met Poonja, our guide for the slum tour. A slum tour may sound questionable but we found it very interesting. Poonja, who is from the slums was an amazing guide. Our last guide was Neha, who took us to 4 Hindu and Muslim Temples and taught us about the religious customs and beliefs. Then she took us on a brief food tour and helped us enjoy some tasty local dishes that we never would have found on our own. All three of our guides (Gotham, Poonja, and Neha) were excellent, easy to understand, and were very flexible in meeting our needs, explaining things, and making this a wonderful tour. Both of our drivers were excellent, keeping us safe on the chaotic streets of Mumbai—thank you! If we had it to do over again, we would probably skip the Elephanta cave tour—it was a lot of effort to get there and was not a must see.
Response from the operator: We truly appreciate your detailed feedback! It is our goal at Magical Mumbai Tours to show the many layers of our city, from the fascinating Dhobi Ghat to the sacred temples. We are thrilled that Tikal's passion for the caves and Neha's culinary expertise made such an impression. Your note about the Elephanta Caves is very helpful for future guests planning their itineraries. Thank you for trusting our team to keep you safe and informed!

Laugh and learn!
Great day with our guide Neha and our driver Sultan. Neha has so much information about Mumbai (she grew up here) and Sultan did so well maneuvering the traffic, I even put my lipstick on without smearing it. Ha! They were very understanding when we told them we were tired from the jet lag and wanted to skip a couple of things. We felt very safe and looked after the whole day. Highly recommend both of them to show you around Mumbai. Thanks Neha and Sultan!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this lovely and fun review! 😊 We’re thrilled to hear you had such a great day with Neha and Sultan. Neha’s local knowledge and warm personality, combined with Sultan’s calm and skillful driving, really do make a perfect team — we loved the lipstick-in-traffic comment! 😄 We’re especially glad you felt safe, comfortable, and well looked after, and that the tour could be adjusted to suit your energy levels after jet lag. That flexibility is exactly what we aim for. Thank you for the strong recommendation, and we’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to Neha and Sultan. We hope to welcome you back to Mumbai again someday! 🌸

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Two Days Mumbai Tour Package : City + Slum + Elephanta + Market: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.
How much does Two Days Mumbai Tour Package : City + Slum + Elephanta + Market cost?
+
Prices start at $180 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Two Days Mumbai Tour Package : City + Slum + Elephanta + Market take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.
Is Two Days Mumbai Tour Package : City + Slum + Elephanta + Market worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Two Days Mumbai Tour Package : City + Slum + Elephanta + Market?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Two Days Mumbai Tour Package : City + Slum + Elephanta + Market suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Two Days Mumbai Tour Package : City + Slum + Elephanta + Market?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Two Days Mumbai Tour Package : City + Slum + Elephanta + Market start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mumbai?
+
On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mumbai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mumbai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
