Must do tour!
I had an excellent experience on the Dois Irmãos (Two Brothers Hill) tour with Alessandra. It was one of the absolute highlights of my time in Rio. The entire experience was smooth, well organized, and showed me a side of the city that many people never see. The hike itself was enjoyable and rewarding, with incredible scenery the whole way up. Reaching the top of Dois Irmãos was unforgettable — the panoramic view over Rio, the beaches, mountains, and coastline is simply spectacular and one of the best in the city. Alessandra made the tour exceptional. She was professional, warm, and highly knowledgeable, making everyone feel comfortable from the beginning. She shared fascinating insights about the area, kept a great pace, and made the experience feel authentic and personal.
Response from the operator: Dear Scott Thank you so much for such a great feedback! thankis for taking time to write all the details of your experience and sharing your opinion. Means a lot to know you enjoyed your time with us. And I hope you can come back to Rio again!

Inexperienced hiker, great experience!
My friends randomly decided to go for a hike during our stay in Rio. I decided to join but spent the whole time extremely nervous, I'm not physically active, have asthma and forgot my pump, and have some fear of heights. Alessandra was super accommodating our entire time. She gave tips on how to best exert my energy, was very generous with our breaks while also giving us some great historical context on Rio and communities in general. By the time we reached the top I was exhausted and tired, but felt amazing having accomplished this feat. Even up top Alessandras motivating demeanor convinced me to join the group closer to the summit where you can best take pictures. I was scared the whole time, but honestly she made me feel very safe and worked within my boundaries. I really enjoyed the entire experience, if I were to come back to Rio I would definitely want to experience another hiking trail with Alessandra! Adding to this she's an excellent photographer and took pictures the entire time we were going up!
Response from the operator: Dear AT thank you so much for such an amazing review! One of the most important things for me (and for my team) is to make our guests feel safe and not hurry, ever! I know how important is to follow everyone's pace and dont rush. I knew how important that was to you, and it was a pleasure to help! I truely believe that by encouraging and not rushing the group I can also make you have FUN. Again, thanks a lot for your detailed report and for the beautiful compliments! I will be waiting for you in Rio for the next hike :-)

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Two Brothers Hill Hike: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rio de Janeiro.
How much does Two Brothers Hill Hike cost?
+
Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rio de Janeiro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Two Brothers Hill Hike take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rio de Janeiro is not rushed.
Is Two Brothers Hill Hike worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rio de Janeiro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Two Brothers Hill Hike?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Two Brothers Hill Hike suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Two Brothers Hill Hike?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rio de Janeiro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rio de Janeiro and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Two Brothers Hill Hike start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rio de Janeiro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rio de Janeiro?
+
On Outty we rank every Rio de Janeiro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pedra da Gávea hike, your best experience in Rio, Favela Tour Rio de Janeiro - Vidigal Walking Tour by Russo Guide, Rio's Full Day: Selarón Steps, Christ & Sugarloaf – Tickets & Lunch Included. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rio de Janeiro?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rio de Janeiro?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Two Brothers Hill Hike?
+
Included: Public transportation (bus, subway, cable car, etc.); Entrance fees; and Walking sticks (upon previous request) and small backpacks (upon previous request). Not included: Meals. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Where is the meeting point for Two Brothers Hill Hike?
+
We will meet in front of the Sheraton Hotel and walk together to the Vidigal neighbourhood. Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.
What languages is Two Brothers Hill Hike offered in?
+
It is offered in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Two Brothers Hill Hike?
+
Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
Is Two Brothers Hill Hike wheelchair or stroller accessible?
+
The operator notes: Not recommended for pregnant travelers. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.
