    Tour cancelled without notice

The tuk tuk with guide never turned up and we had to call the company to find out the tour had been cancelled.

Response from the operator: We are sorry that Susanne had to contact us to find out what had happened, but we feel it is important to clarify a few details that are missing from this review. The booking was cancelled through Viator after our tuk tuk was involved in an accident. At that moment, quite understandably, our priority was dealing with the situation and arranging the repairs, which are also costing us a considerable amount. The cancellation was communicated through the platform, and we also sent an email. We also tried to contact the customer by phone, but unfortunately, the telephone number provided in the booking was incorrect. Sadly, we have not yet discovered how to call a number that does not belong to our customer. We completely understand that arriving expecting a tuk tuk and finding that the tour has been cancelled is frustrating. What is slightly harder to understand is describing the situation as a tour cancelled “without notice” when the appropriate notifications were sent. In fact, other customers were affected by exactly the same situation, and we have had no problem with them. They all understood that an accident is an exceptional circumstance and that, at that moment, repairing the tuk tuk and ensuring our customers’ safety had to be our priority. We would have much preferred to operate the tour rather than cancel it. However, we believe that when an accident happens, the responsible thing to do is to stop, deal with the problem and make sure that nobody is put at risk. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and hope our tuk tuk will soon be back on the streets of Córdoba repaired, safe, and ready for the next adventure. And hopefully, next time, with the correct telephone number too.
