Great First Time Experience
First to say it was my first dive and I was nervous. JoJo was my dive master and he showed great patience and made sure I was comfortable before moving to deeper water. Also mask with prescription are available and Gopros can be rented. Overall a memorable highlight of Bali. Hoping to come back and try the PADI course with Neptune.

Service like no other
My sister and I signed up for the Tulamben wreck dive with Neptune and it was the highlight of our Bali trip. My sister had never scuba dived before and I have the PADI certificate, so we got to experience Neptune as both a novice and experienced. What really stands out is the incredible service of the Neptune staff. From the second they picked us up from the hotel till we left, they went above and beyond. These people included, but were not limited, to our great and calm instructor (Bono), who took us through the diving lessons and highlighted different stuff during the dive, including finding us a turtle, barracuda and loads of other stuff. The booking person Yoga was also excellent in coordinating everything and when our GoPro wasn't working he even fixed that for us and downloaded all of our photos at the Neptune site. Though the visibility on the day wasn't great and the drive to the site is 2.5 hours long, it didn't matter, because we has such a great time. I'd recommend Neptune to anyone looking to dive in Bali.

Had an awesome time at Neptune!
My wife and I did the discover scuba trip to Tulamben because I wanted to see the Liberty wreck. All the staff at Neptune were very welcoming and friendly. As soon as we got there we were offered refreshments, and all the staff treated us like friends. They have a great patio out back with a bar area, tables, chairs, a couch, and tv. Our dive instructor held a brief pool session with us since we were not open water certified, then we loaded up and headed to Tulamben. We did two 40 minute dives in Tulamben, the first was at the wreck site which was incredible to see, and the second was along a coral reef which was beautiful. We saw many colorful corals, schools of fish, and even a sea turtle. There's certainly no feeling like looking up and realizing you're 30 meters underwater. This trip definitely left my wife and I with the diving bug, and we're looking at getting PADI open water certified for our next vacation. After diving, we got lunch at a small beachfront restaurant in Tulamben, then returned to the patio at the dive shop. Upon our return, we were offered a delicious meatball and won ton soup, and plenty of cold drinks, including beer. All the employees were just walking around interacting with everyone like a bunch of friends at a party. We stayed there for a couple hours hanging out, and nobody was trying to rush us away, everybody just kept having some drinks and relaxing. It was a great way to end the day. I would recommend Neptune to anyone looking for a fun diving adventure in Bali.
Response from the operator: Good evening Timothy, What an amazing review and a surprise, thank you thank you for everything. Indeed the traditional soup, the bakso, delicious :-)) So so so, just a quick comment, Discover Scuba Diving never dives down to 30 meters underwater, the maximum depth is 12 meters. Absolutely it can feel pretty deep specially when you're having fun ... much like time flies when you're having fun! Stay safe and positive Tim, you are wonderful!

Really cool experience!
This place was built from the ground up by a couple, and has a pool for you to practice in prior to your dive. My instructor Audi was wonderful and a lot of fun. He answered all of my questions, which were a lot because I like to learn about things, and then he didn't leave my side during the entire dive. The only thing I had issue with it that I was the only person/woman doing this dive and while Audi was great, I felt very uncomfortable due to the amount of people not doing anything in the morning and just standing around watching. Then the same situation with the dive site. This would be a great place for a few beginners to dive with, but as someone who is traveling alone it wasn't very enjoyable.
Response from the operator: Dear Nicole, I will post here the same review reply I posted on your other review on Google... it seems a series of reviews are on the way haha. As an official reply, definitely we’re happy for your good time with the dive guide which is perhaps one of the most important elements of any water activities. His name is actually Adi by the way :-) Addressing the pink elephant around us, it is quite interesting to hear that you were not approached at any moment during your stay at the dive center for briefings, refreshments etc but I am investigating your statement as we speak. Important to understand, saying that you were the only person / woman doing the activity ... well well, we provided you a private senior PADI Instructor which is our exclusive standard for Discover Scuba Diving guaranteeing safety, customer experience and all the other necessities according to PADI international and local laws and regulations. Definitely we do not use groups for Discover Scuba Diving and even with groups for certified divers or snorkelling for example we run maximum 3 divers / snorkelers for one dive guide but once again, sincere apologies if you felt discomfort because of the private experience. Sincere apologies once again for this significant inappropriate experience you felt, it is a complete surprise for us but for myself specially... normally people look for private experience with instructors, not big groups :-) With respect and appreciation, Julian

Try Diving in Tulamben - Shipwreck: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kuta.
How much does Try Diving in Tulamben - Shipwreck cost?
+
Prices start at $175 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kuta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Try Diving in Tulamben - Shipwreck take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kuta is not rushed.
Is Try Diving in Tulamben - Shipwreck worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kuta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Try Diving in Tulamben - Shipwreck?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Try Diving in Tulamben - Shipwreck suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Try Diving in Tulamben - Shipwreck?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kuta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kuta and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Try Diving in Tulamben - Shipwreck start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kuta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kuta?
+
On Outty we rank every Kuta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ubud Private Tour Rice Terraces Temples Waterfalls., Best of Ubud Private and All-Inclusive 1-Day Tour, Bali Blue Lagoon Snorkeling - Lunch and Transport All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kuta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kuta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
