Our professional and friendly guide/photographer will drive you and your partner, family, or friends on an unforgettable PRIVATE (no other guests) Northern Lights Chase along beautiful Fjords, Mountains and Lakes. We use minivans with a capacity from one and up to eight guests each. We have 4 minivans that usually drive in different directions. We will first take you to our office where we will brief you about the realistic chances of the evening. If chances are low, we will offer to move to next day or to get a 100% refund. Please note that unlimited pictures are included (no extra charge). So, please relax and let US take you to the Aurora. This is our 12th year guiding private Aurora excursions, so we certainly have learned a couple of "secret" patterns that tell us when and where to find her. Welcome!

What you'll see and do
We will drive you on your private minivan to the area around Tromso with highest chances for clear skies. Once we find clear skies and stars, we will wait for the Aurora with coffee and muffins while we get our cameras ready for the big moment. Please note that we have 90% success rate which means that 10% of nights there is either no clear skies in any direction, or there is no energy at all. We will inform guests about the conditions and guests can postpone or cancel and get a 100% refund if the chances are very low and they don't want to risk. If guests decide to go despite knowing that chances are low and there is no success, no refund will be made.

Not a good experience
When we booked 'private aurora chase by minivan' for $1600, we assumed that it would be a comfortable experience for my wife and I. Instead it was a joke. - The van was compact and setup to jam in the most people possible, not comfortable at all for a 'private' tour. My knees were jammed into the seat in front of us, and the van showed ample signs of wear and high-usage. - Before departing, the owner told us there was a very good chance of seeing aurora's that night; it was a high pressure sale and he kept interrupting me when I tried to ask questions. The moment we hopped into the van the driver said it was very unlikely to see auroras that night, and he and all of the other drivers had been discussing that, but that it was too late to cancel and we should have earlier if we were in doubt. - The "snacks" noted as a part of the package was a cold packaged muffin. - The driver, despite my wife being pregnant, kept hopping out to smoke and when he came back inside it wreaked of smoke. I had to ask him twice to not smoke or to wait a while before coming back inside. - As the driver expected, we did not see aurora that night. We spent 80% of the time parked on the side of the road waiting to see if anyone called him and indicated that they saw aurora.
Response from the operator: This is quite unfair; I offered to cancel and get a 100% refund and gave you long time to discuss this with your partner. You decided to join, knowing very well that chances were 50/50. The Aurora chase is not like a tiger safari where you search and find the tiger. In the Aurora excursion you find the place with clear skies and stay there until the Aurora shows (when the Aurora shows it shows in the WHOLE sky of Northern Norway, so it is crucial to be under clear skies on that moment). This is what Aron did: he found clear skies and waited but unfortunately the Aurora only showed next night. There was exceptionally absolutely no energy release the night of your excursion. I feel is very unfair that you put this on Aron or me as long as you were properly informed of your chances and given the option of cancellation and a 100% refund.

Great Aurora Chase Experience
Andis was an excellent guide—easygoing, professional, and knowledgeable. He shared interesting stories throughout the trip, which made the experience even more enjoyable. He knew exactly how to capture the northern lights and was great at taking photos. He was always helpful and attentive, making sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. Highly recommended!

A truly memorable experience
The tour started with a very clear and informative presentation. I had two tours over two nights with Andis and Aron, both guys were great with their help, their courtrsy and led us to fantastic places to see the lights. I give all of the guys 10 out of 10

Wonderful experience.
Angel our guide was excellent. The company used scientific methods to find areas with little cloud cover. We drove all the way to Finland. Cross the visible border stations. No check though. That night the lights were ferocious. Got excellent pics. We went on three chases, only Green Gold provided us the full size large file images. Well done!
