    Fishing trip

The online booking worked without any problems and one evening before we got another confirmation via SMS. There were only two of us on the boat with our guide Lucy. She explained everything to us very well, was very nice, very friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable with her. The physical well-being was also taken care of. We even saw a few marine mammals swimming very close to the boat. We caught cod, pollack and whiting, among others. And there was also a redfish. Thanks again for the nice trip. We can only recommend. Dörte and Henning from Germany:0)

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We are happy to hear that you had a pleasant and memorable day with us and that everything went smoothly. We hope to welcome you back soon! Until then, we wish you all the best!! :)

    Great fishing trip in Tromsø

Great fishing trip with a friendly and welcoming guide. We were only two friends on the trip, but there were space for more if you’re going with a larger group

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We are glad you enjoyed the fishing trip and appreciated the friendly atmosphere.

    Fishing trip

Nice tour but we booked for 4 people to fish, and because of the waves, only 2 people could fish at the same time. But the owner could apparently fish at the same time anyway… and did not even offer the place to any of the other 2 of us who were waiting to test. We had booked the tour in 3 hours but were back in the harbor already 15 minutes before that… The owner also threw in one of the few fish we got, without even asking if we wanted to take it home… if you want to fish and with good stuff, so choose another performer! We would not recommend this or book here again.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We want to clarify that everything on our side was handled according to the booking and schedule, including starting the tour 15 minutes earlier. The fishing conditions can vary due to weather, and we apologize if the experience did not meet your expectations. We hope to have the opportunity ti serve you better in the future.

    Terrible.

The operator never showed up. Would not answer the phone and never contacted us to explain. Left us standing on a dock in Tromso. It was a sham.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the trouble you experienced. Before the trip, we tried to contact you by phone, but we couldnt reach you because the number was wrong. There was some issue on the boat that stopped us from going fishing. Once it was fixed, we offered you to go fishing the next day. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to do better next time.

Tromso Arctic Fishing Adventure: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tromso.

How much does Tromso Arctic Fishing Adventure cost?

    +

Prices start at $165 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tromso usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tromso Arctic Fishing Adventure take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tromso is not rushed.

Is Tromso Arctic Fishing Adventure worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tromso, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tromso Arctic Fishing Adventure?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tromso Arctic Fishing Adventure suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tromso Arctic Fishing Adventure?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tromso can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tromso and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tromso Arctic Fishing Adventure start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tromso within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tromso?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tromso experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Chasing Lights: Aurora Big Bus Chase (All Photos Included), Tromsø: Small Group | Northern Lights Chase + All-Inclusive, Tromso Northern Lights Minibus Chase Small Group Tour with Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tromso?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tromso?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Tromso Arctic Fishing Adventure?

    +

Included: Fishing equipements; Snacks; and Tea and coffee. Not included: Lunch. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Where is the meeting point for Tromso Arctic Fishing Adventure?

    +

Please come 10 minutes before the departure, and wait in front of the Kaia Restaurant. Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.

What languages is Tromso Arctic Fishing Adventure offered in?

    +

It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Tromso Arctic Fishing Adventure?

    +

Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.

Is Tromso Arctic Fishing Adventure wheelchair or stroller accessible?

    +

The operator notes: Not recommended for travelers with mobility difficulties. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.

What happens to Tromso Arctic Fishing Adventure if the weather is bad?

    +

This experience depends on good weather. If it is canceled because of poor weather, you are offered a different date or a full refund.
