Day 1Trip from Hurghada to Cairo Our representative will take you from your hotel in Hurghada to go with an air-conditioned car to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will visit the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, which is one of the largest and most famous international museums, located in the heart of the Egyptian capital “Cairo” on the northern side of Tahrir Square. At that time, it was located in Azbakeya Park, where it included a large number of diverse antiquities, and then its contents were transferred to the second exhibition hall in Salah El Din CastleThen you will go to the restaurant for lunch, and then you will go to Giza in the afternoon to see the pyramids and the Sphinx, which is among the Seven Wonders of the World. They are royal tombs, each bearing the name of the king who built it and was buried in it, and the hierarchical building here is a stage in the development of the tomb architecture in ancient Egypt. It started with a small hole that turned into an underground room and then into several rooms topped by a bench. Then it evolved to take the shape of the pyramid listed by the engineer Imhutep, the Minister of Pharaoh, King Djoser of the Third Dynasty, and the Sphinx is a statue of a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human being carved of limestone, and it is likely that it was originally covered with a layer of plaster and stained, and traces of colors are still The original is visible next to one of his ears, and then back to your hotel in Hurghada The days of this trip (Saturday- Monday -Wednesday)

Amazing visit to see the Pyramids but don't waste time going inside and be sure to visit the New Museum
My wife and I opted for this day trip to see the Pyramids offered by the Tui rep at our hotel who was very helpful. A coach picked us up at 4am and drooped us off at 11.30pm so it's a long day. The coach also picked up a couple of other passengers on the way to the airport in Hurghada . The internal flight with PAS was excellant, on time and with lots of legroom. We arrived at Cairo airport at around 7.45 and were split into groups based on language spoken. Our guide for the day was helpful and she gave an interesting commentary as we travelled through Cairo to start the tour with a short boat trip on the Nile which was pleasant and commenced about 9.am. We then got back on the coach for the short journey to the Pyramids. There is a modern reception facility at the entrance to the site showcasing some of the history and we were soon back on the coach for the very short trip to the Pyramids arriving at 11.am. There was a short queue of around 100 people waiting outside of the entrance to the pyramid when we arrived but by the time we came out this had increased to about 1000. Faced with the growing queue the security man entered the Pyramid where there was another slow moving queue and shouted 'Go Go' repeatedly which only served to increase the tension and sense of panic with some of the visitors almost running out. I saw one elderly Japanese lady crack her head on the low stone roof but was afraid to stop for a moment to recover. The last part of the journey to the Chamber inside the Pyramid involved climbing up a duckboard with a side rail in a tunnel with which is at a steep angle of about 40 degree. The tunnel must be about 1 meter high and was a nightmare coming back down while being herded like cattle. The chamber itself was disappointing and the whole experience was in our opinion a waste of time and is an accident waiting to happen. After the pyramid we had a camel ride which was ok, stopped off at the Sphinx which was impressive, followed by lunch which was very average. After lunch we went to the new Grand Egyptian Museum which was absolutely amazing with so many exhibits in a fantastic setting. The museum was apparently designed by an Irish firm, Heneghan Peng Architects, who won a competition but there was not a drop of Guinness anywhere. We left the museum at around 6.30 for our return flight to Hurghada. The trip costs about £550 and there were another £120 for extras. Our guide was excellent and provided interesting local knowledge as well as information about the historical bits. We appreciated seeing the Pyramids and the Sphinx but for us the climb inside the pyramid was unpleasant and disappointing and I wouldn't waste my time again on this. In contrast the museum was incredibly interesting and we would happily spend more time there. We arrived back at 11.30 after a long day but doing this excursion by bus rather than by plane must be excruciating, but no doubt cheaper. If we had avoided the nightmare of the Pyramid we would have rated the excursion at 4/5.
