Too little hands on cooking experience

Whilst the experience showed an authentic Italian kitchen at work, there wasn’t enough hands-on cooking experience for our group of 4, with most of the time spent watching either our host complete the tasks or one of our group taking turns to help in the small kitchen. We had hoped to each have the opportunity to do all tasks. As a result, the experience did not represent good value for money in our opinion. Our host was very welcoming and set a lovely dining table at which to eat our cooked dishes, but our inability to speak Italian and her limited English further compromised our experience.

The best!!! Warm, inviting and a genuine good time!!

What a special experience! From the moment we arrived, Mirabella and Giovanni made us feel like family. They welcomed us into their beautiful home, and you could immediately feel the love and warmth that fills it. Their kitchen was inviting, the class was fun and hands-on, and we learned so much while making delicious pasta and tiramisu. What made this experience truly memorable was how genuinely kind and caring they were. We enjoyed every minute of our time together and left with wonderful memories, new skills, and full hearts. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Trieste!

Best ever experience

One of a kind experience. My husband and I were the only people in the glass. I was on cloud 9 for getting to make pasta in Italy. We even found a kitchen store so I could bring home a new ravioli cutter! I’m still in heaven and will be talking about it for some time.

Learn how to make Pasta and tiramisu

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience being in a local kitchen and spending time with someone who is passionate about what they ate teaching you

Great pasta making opportunity with a true Italian!

This was outside our comfort zone a bit but so worth it. We made two different pastas and a tiramisu (getting the recipes as well) then were served the pastas and tiramisu as part of a full meal with all accompaniments. Our host, Giovanna was awesome and what a cook!!!! The meal was fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone!

Trieste: Small group Pasta and Tiramisu class with Mamma: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Trieste.

How much does Trieste: Small group Pasta and Tiramisu class with Mamma cost?

+

Prices start at $68 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Trieste usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Trieste: Small group Pasta and Tiramisu class with Mamma take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Trieste is not rushed.

Is Trieste: Small group Pasta and Tiramisu class with Mamma worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Trieste, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Trieste: Small group Pasta and Tiramisu class with Mamma?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Trieste: Small group Pasta and Tiramisu class with Mamma suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Trieste: Small group Pasta and Tiramisu class with Mamma?

+

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Trieste can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Trieste and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Trieste: Small group Pasta and Tiramisu class with Mamma start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Trieste within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Trieste?

+

On Outty we rank every Trieste experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Trieste: Unique Food Tour with Local Flavors and Tastings, Prosecco Origins Wine Experience, Experience Slovenian Coast line with Wine Tasting from Trieste. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Trieste?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Trieste?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
