    This was an unforgettable...

This was an unforgettable experience. Practicing traditional samurai tatami cutting felt both powerful and deeply respectful of Japanese culture. The instructor was incredibly calm, patient, and genuinely kind. I highly recommend this experience.

Response from the operator: I too hold this understanding, firmly engraved upon my heart. For a samurai, to speak is to stake one's very life. Only when granted permission by one's lord or superior—through words like "Raise your head" or "Do not be troubled"—is one permitted to speak. This is the way of etiquette, and the path to avoid shame. Truly, it is a weighty understanding. I gather you, too, hold this as a vital teaching when conveying it to foreign guests. Now then, let us together share the heart of Bushido. 21:00:26

A moment as sharp as it is unforgettable!

Very good experience, the explanations were clear and precise, he helped us as best as possible, taught us some movements. With joy and good atmosphere. Really go ahead and close your eyes. It's well worth it.

Response from the operator: "Arigataki shiawase" ― A traditional expression meaning "extremely fortunate, a rare coincidence.”

    Honorable and serious

Sensei Ray is very patient and has 15+ years of experience, teaching me the names of all the moves in Japanese and a few tricks to improve the techniques.

Response from the operator: From childhood, the son of a samurai learns the way of the sword, and at fifteen is permitted to wear a real sword at his side. At that moment, he becomes conscious of his pride and the responsibility of carrying a deadly weapon, and the days of endless training begin. Also, in response to your kind words of praise for the staff, "Arigataki shiawase" ― A traditional expression meaning "extremely fortunate, a rare coincidence."

The class was very nice, in very little time I learned a lot, including the use of the Katana and Bushido culture. It was awesome.

Trial slashing in Bushido with Samurai Sword real sharpnes: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Osaka.

How much does Trial slashing in Bushido with Samurai Sword real sharpnes cost?

    +

Prices start at $94 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Osaka usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Trial slashing in Bushido with Samurai Sword real sharpnes take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Osaka is not rushed.

Is Trial slashing in Bushido with Samurai Sword real sharpnes worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Osaka, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Trial slashing in Bushido with Samurai Sword real sharpnes?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Trial slashing in Bushido with Samurai Sword real sharpnes suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Trial slashing in Bushido with Samurai Sword real sharpnes?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Osaka can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Osaka and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Trial slashing in Bushido with Samurai Sword real sharpnes start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Osaka within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Osaka?

    +

On Outty we rank every Osaka experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hungry Osaka Street Food Tour:15 Tastings & 3 Drinks with a Local, Ultimate Osaka Walking Tour: Castle, Dotonbori, Gems & Lunch, Osaka Castle Walking Tour and Castle Tower Admission. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Osaka?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Osaka?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
