Exceptional Service from Start to Finish — CRJourney Goes Above and Beyond!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with CRJourney! We used their private transportation service between San José International Airport and the Los Sueños/Jacó area, and the entire experience was absolutely first class. From the initial booking process before our trip to the ongoing communication throughout our stay, everything was handled flawlessly. Communication was prompt, professional, and incredibly thorough. We always knew exactly what to expect, and every detail was taken care of. Our driver, Jonathan, was fantastic! The vehicle was exceptionally clean, spacious, and comfortable, with complimentary water and juices provided for the drive. Both transfers were smooth and enjoyable, and Jonathan made us feel welcome from the very beginning. What truly made this experience special, however, was an incredibly thoughtful gesture that went far beyond anything we could have expected. We were visiting Costa Rica to celebrate our son’s ninth birthday, and Jonathan remembered this detail from our arrangements. When he picked us up at the airport, he had a number nine birthday balloon and a special treat waiting for our son in the van! That small act of kindness meant so much to our family. It was completely unexpected and immediately made our son feel special. It’s rare to encounter that level of thoughtfulness and genuine hospitality, particularly from an airport transportation service. What impressed me most was that CRJourney clearly understands that exceptional customer service is about more than simply getting passengers from one location to another. It’s about communication, reliability, attention to detail, and making people feel genuinely cared for. Jonathan and the entire CRJourney team delivered on every level. I will absolutely use CRJourney every time I travel between the airport and the Jacó/Los Sueños area. Their professionalism, outstanding communication, comfortable vehicles, and extraordinary personal service have earned my loyalty. Five stars without hesitation! A sincere thank-you to Jonathan and the CRJourney team for helping make our son’s birthday trip so memorable!

Shuttle to multiple cities
Amazing communication back-and-forth we changed our plans several times and Jonathon was incredible. He was flexible in accommodating multiple stops and offered a fair price with an incredibly clean and New shuttle. Really nice guy easy to talk to and enjoyable to be around. Would definitely recommend book him again.

Highlights of Costa Rica by private tour
Jonathan was amazing! He was on time, very knowledgeable and helpful, always had cold water and the van was spotless. He hooked us up with the BEST guide at Manuel Antonia National Park, and was great at suggesting restaurants for local fair.

Top notch car service
We used CRJourney for a ride from Jaco to San Jose and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The car was spotless—like, noticeably clean the second we got in—and super comfortable for the drive. Our driver was right on time, friendly without being over the top, and just really easy to ride with. You can tell they take pride in what they do. They even went above and beyond in helping us out with a little snafu of leaving something behind. We realized after we got to the airport that we had left something very important back at our pickup location and didn’t have much time to spare before we left. They coordinated getting someone to deliver it to the airport before our flight. It was incredible service!!! Big shoutout to Jonathan as well—he does business right. Everything was smooth, well-coordinated, and exactly as promised, which isn’t always a given when you’re traveling. It made what could’ve been a stressful transfer feel completely easy. We’ll absolutely use CRJourney again next time we’re in Costa Rica. Highly recommend.

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Transportation from SJO Airport, Jaco, Fortuna, Manuel Antonio: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Alajuela.
How much does Transportation from SJO Airport, Jaco, Fortuna, Manuel Antonio cost?
+
Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Alajuela usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Transportation from SJO Airport, Jaco, Fortuna, Manuel Antonio take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Alajuela is not rushed.
Is Transportation from SJO Airport, Jaco, Fortuna, Manuel Antonio worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Alajuela, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Transportation from SJO Airport, Jaco, Fortuna, Manuel Antonio?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Transportation from SJO Airport, Jaco, Fortuna, Manuel Antonio suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Transportation from SJO Airport, Jaco, Fortuna, Manuel Antonio?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Alajuela can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Alajuela and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Transportation from SJO Airport, Jaco, Fortuna, Manuel Antonio start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Alajuela within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Alajuela?
+
On Outty we rank every Alajuela experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Arenal Volcano Full-Day Combo Tour with Lunch and Dinner, Arenal Volcano Experience Full-Day Tour from San Jose, Manuel Antonio National Park Sightseeing and Wildlife Day Tour from San Jose. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Alajuela?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Alajuela?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Transportation from SJO Airport, Jaco, Fortuna, Manuel Antonio?
+

+
